It is a matter of priorities and other obligations. NPR is mostly correct. A lot of states have really struggled to meet their budget needs, and unlike the federal government, they cannot just borrow money endlessly or print it up. That of course does not matter to those who are blind followers of the democratic line, no matter what it is. Things like pension obligations and providing medical services to prisoners and state employees and the poor people they already service are eating some states alive.
How many of these posts are coming from people living in states where the state government refused to pass the Medicare extension that was part of the ACA?
The problem is that the tealiban does not agree and has shut down the government because they lost on this. Also the GOP disagrees with your points because Obama passed it. If McCain had done the same thing, the GOP would have accepted it. The GOP says that it wants to do good things like Medicare Plan D but they never want to fund their "good deeds".
Do you have a breakdown for who the 47% voted for. I would think that many soldiers and vets still voted for the right. Some students did if they were allowed to vote. Seniors too. Oh, and many of the 53% voted for Obama for him to get over 51% and Romney lost a lot to get only 47%.
You should avoid using Brietbart as your source. Try using something with credibility. The notion that the Republicans are "trying to HELP" Obama is pretty funny. When did they ever entertain the idea of Helping Obama? The law is in effect, and people are signing up. Get over it already.
Sorry, any state that uses $3,000 as poverty level didn't care about its citizens before any offer to expand Medicaid. They really were worried that they would have to take care of their citizens instead of letting the Federal government pay for their citizens..
And tips must be reported. At least a portion described by the IRS. - - - Updated - - - And the flamebaiting continues.
What is astonishing is how well armed they are so fast with all the disinformation... This is an organized campaign. Even the language is even across the forums as if its cut and paste. Clearly this is a deliberate discredit campaign and as usual that Obamabots have overplayed they're hand and made it too obvious. When "Mello Guy" and "Cigar" are posting virtually identical posts, you KNOW this is not a simple silent majority reaction.... Too slick people, you've been outed.
What is missing is that they choose not to take care of their citizens because they refuse to generate revenue. They have been living off the Federal Government's teet rather than taking care of their own.
I suspect she's not as much a liar as she is one of those low information voters. I wonder what Peggy Joseph thinks of O'care.
Ah yeah. The official poverty line in Canada is $19,800 and we have taxpayer funded universal medicare. $3K a year seems OK to the Obamabots posting here though.....
So you rather believe that she is a criminal than to talk about the facts. BTW, what does that have to do with Mississippi using a $3,000 poverty level?
If it is so bad and it will crumble on itself then why republicans are fighting tooth and nails with it's implementation? No-brainer to me, let democrats have it, it fails epically, hello republican POTUS and both congress and senate in 2016....
It doesn't matter. She would be called a "liar" not matter what. This is a mirror of a hundred other similar threads where the "usual suspects" are "Global Warming" the nay sayers.... Notice that we're only focused on this one woman, not the ten thousand others who have reacted with horror how hard it is to get on line, how confusing, an antire state system that hasn't been able to stay up more than an hour [there some Obama keeping it up in there] and shock at the premiums.... But Obama and his lemmings have you focused on ONE case where the data is suspicious. But as is always the case, Obama has never lied neither has Hillary and ANYONE who says different is a LIAR. Obamalogic
This program is a complete fiasco.......it is based on such stupid premises that I am beginning to think it was designed to fail........so that we then go to national health care
The impact on state budgets was one of the big questions during the debate which got denied and shouted down. Looks like another Obamalie.....
As I read this I am listening to a medical economist on the CBC saying that the Canadian system would be a vast improvement and impact on state and local economies far, far less. The demonizing of universal medical care is astonishing especially considering that most of the industrialized world has gone that way, the US is the last hold out.
