My post reflects what I have run across. You simply have a one dimensional view of a multi-dimensional spectrum.

Left and right are still there. Libertarian and authoritarian/statist simply take up the north and south spots. Most people are libertarian.

Actually, I would go the other way.

I would ignore the prestige of the presidency and go for control of the House and Senate as do third party minority parties in parliamentary democracies; it is less about power and prestige than it is about ideology and some fine legislation results, Canada's best governments have been through minority parliaments.

Like it or not, Ted Cruz's noble stand on Obamacare was just that. He showed what kind of power can be wielded by a few dedicated individuals, whether you agree with his purpose or not.

I believe that the Tea Party is seeking to do just that come 2014, Cruz would like nothing better than to be Senate Majority leader...

I am beginning to think he will have to.

It will all depend on keeping your plan if you like it.......if that doesn't simmer down and the software doesn't get fixed, he may have to

True Libertarians want nothing to do with your intrusive social campaigns. The answer for abortion is the same as many other answers like gay marriage...It is not the governments place to be involved. This is my big problem with the tea party, it is nothing more than the same old worn out christian conservative branch of the Republican party. Libertarians want no part of government in their personal lives and do not want laws based on religion or someone elses morals.

^^^^^This is what I have been trying to say for a long time. I really dont think it could be said any better. I am tired of being beat up for voting for the best candidate in the last election. I will always vote for the best candidate and if that leaves lumps in your sandbox...deal with it!

Even if there was a viable 3rd party, running on a platform like that would signal to voters to, "check those guys out, there is no way they can promise that considering how long we have already been working on those ideals."

All of that is doable in two terms.

Since the Mayor IS a true libertarian, your argument is proven false by exception.

Wrong. As any "true libertarian" will tell you, and one is, right now, the function of government is first and foremost to enforce laws intended to protect the innocent and the weak from the actions of those wishing to harm them. When you can identify a class of people more innocent or weaker than the unborn human being, let us know.

That your lies exceed only your ignorance in size and scope?

We can find grounds for agreement there.

As already pointed out, you don't have a clue what a real libertarian is.

And you have to have laws based on morals, that's the only possible basis for law.

Why is theft considered a crime by people who are not you?

Because theft is immoral. Because people have a right to their property, and nobody has a right to use force or subterfuge to steal that property without their informed consent.

Why is murder considered a crime by people who are not you?

Because murder is theft of life, and stolen lives cannot be put back.

People stupid enough to vote for Obama can't discuss morality in any intelligent way.

AND, given that in most places the fascist RATS have the plurality of the votes, your efforts almost always lead to the loss of the American candidate to the RAT.

Identify the (now) second worst president in the United States, explain how an ex-president's foray into retarded turd party politics led directly to the election of this (now) second worst president, with the subsequent damage extending all the way up to the present day.

If you're not capable of outling the most important failure of turd party politics, you're not prepared to argue in support of your position, either.

The only notable success of turd party politics is when Green Party Ralphie Nader took 97,000 votes from Al Bore, clearly votes that Bush would never have received. That's the only time a turd party helped protect the United States or produce welcome results.

That fool Perot got a pot-head rapist philandering perjuring drunken sexual predator elected. That what you want to happen again? You want the Red Queen to be Presidentess? Do you have any clue what the stakes are in the game you people are playing? You must clearly like the MessiahCare Train Wreck. Any significant role by a turd party at this time will get that (*)(*)(*)(*) anchored in concrete.

No, it's not. The Mayor's loyalty is to his daughters, and his daughters' best interests are served when the nation sees the ebbing of the Fascist Horde. The Fascist Horde will not recede unless those who aren't fascists stand united.

The Mayor will agree that if the GOP runs another Romney/McStain/Bush/Dole/Bush type of candidate, he's going to be looking around for another nation to move to, this one will be beyond recovery. Go ahead in that case, play your turd party games, they will mean nothing, the end is already defined.

But in this state and local elections? You people need to butt out in many cases because the RAT candidate must be rejected like the ebola virus. Yep, the Mayor is going to do what he can to ditch (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) McConnell at the primary level. And if there's no significant difference between the nominees going to the general election, he'll take his huskies out and find some RAT lawn signs for them to (*)(*)(*)(*) on, because that's all the difference left to be done.

Who was the last turd party candidate to shrink government?

Cuccinelli opposed the MessiahCare Train Wreck, McAuliffe slept with the Clintons and was never deloused. (That woudl kill him).

Clearly Cuccinelli is the better candidate for governor in VA.

Because your Turd Party is going to hand the state over to the RATS, tied up with a pretty RED bow.

No, what's best for VA is what's best for the entire US of A: the eradication of RATS from public office, first, and while in the process purging the RINO's out. When we get back to having Americans in elective office and taking for granted that they'll promote American interests we can afford the luxury of interparty squabbling. As it stands, your "conscience" is perfectly happy putting a criminal like Clinton's bag-man in the governor's house.

Yep. As a real American patriot, as a real American military veteran, the Mayor recognizes that often to do what is NECESSARY, even if it's messy and unpleasant. Rule I: Keep the REDS out of office.
