I opined, "Your hatred for a fairly mediocre President clouds your reasoning, I suspect," in my attempt to account for your inordinate upset over Americans' choice for their leader in the last two elections.

Since I clearly expressed only my suspicion, you can attribute your obvious contempt to other causes if you need to assume a defencive posture in the matter.

 

You apparently, like most people, seem to incorrectly think that everyone in the Tea Party is a republican.

 

Your numbers are your numbers. I cited those of the ongoing CBS Newspoll - currently 27%, up from 12% in December, 2008.

 

Try some other words: contempt, disdain, scorn....

There are really two tea parties.

The little group of Ron Paul followers who embrace isolationism and cling to the Jeffersonian small government fantasy. And a lot of them are gold bugs.

Obviously, I don't agree with them on things like this, but I do respect their integrity.

The other tea party is the mob of Sarah Palin supporters and Bush dead enders who hate the fact that a black man is in the White House.

That tea party will fade into well deserved obscurity the day after the 2016 election. You'll see no more of TeaPartyPatriot, Tea Party Express, Americans for Prosperity, Tea Party Nation or Tea Party.net.

They will be ugly footnotes in the nation's racial history.

When people in the Tea Party say they want to "take back America" many people automatically think they're saying "take back America from a black man". But that quote wasn't invented by the Tea Party. Remember Howard Dean's famous speech? "...then we're going to Washington D.C. to take back the White House!! HEEEYAAAUGH!!" Was it racist of Dean to say that? No? It's only racist when its used against a black man, right? That's racist thinking man, quit thinking like a racist. Geeze.

The Tea Party doesn't object to a person's color, most likely they object to bad behavior no matter what color. Color never excuses bad behavior.

 

It's HOW Right-wing extremists play the political game... that causes them to lose voters in very large numbers over time. Much of what the Right is doing these days, is generally repulsive to decent and reasonable people.

Isn't it funny how if you voted for Obama because he is black that it is progressive and if you didn't because of his socialist/communist leanings is racist?

 

Does that mean that all the whites need to go back to Europe since you didn't originate in this part of the world.

America was full of Native Americans pretty sure they were liking it that way also.

 

No sir, not true. We lost because one, Blacks voted for Blacks. Notice millions of Whites also voted for Obama so color wasn't the issue.

They won the Hispanic vote because Obama promised to pass an immigration bill allowing all these illegals, who have many friends and relatives that are already citizens, citizenship.

He promised those out of work, shovel ready jobs that he said he had, which he lied about. He also promised to renegotiate NAFTA to make it fairer and to make more jobs. He also lied there too.

He won the gay vote by saying he changed his mind and no longer believed that marriage was between an man and a woman.

They lied and pressed that Conservatives had a war against women to try and get their vote.

They rounded up all the drunks and homeless off the streets and under the bridges and took them in to register them and took them in to vote.

That sir is how Obama won. He promises every group something.

 

The views/ways of the GOP will be perpetually popular and successful? (They'd better consider 'change' a bit more than they apparently do.)

 

You aren't being realistic. And that kind of thinking is why Republicans WILL continue to be far-less than the absolute rulers of this society (thank goodness). If the people aren't WITH you, you lose elections. It is as clear as that... but it is WRONG to attempt rigging the voting system itself (which Republicans in many States have been very actively seeking to accomplish of late).
