Whining about others love lives isn't masculine. If whining was a turn-on, then Ray Barone would be the sexiest man alive (as if that'd ever happen).

What people do in their own bedrooms is between them, and doesn't effect me - so why should I gossip about it? When gay activist try to impose political correctness on others for offending them is where I get pissed off - but honestly whether Ned and Ted are banging each other in the butt right now somewhere 3,000 miles away from me doesn't make me lose an ounce of sleep. So while he says his beliefs tell him that homosexuality is wrong, he also says that he treats everyone equally. Isn't that the definition of tolerance?

 

Robertson doesn't care, the hit show is him and his family. A&E really has nothing to do with their success.

I would be interested to see the contract, I can imagine Netflix coming to them and offering a sweet deal as long as they can get around any non compete type documentation.

I don't care one way or another about A&E since they're a business and they can do whatever's in their best interest

Homosexuality is a personal issue. I don't care if anyone 'likes gay sex' or not, but when it comes to politics, mind your own business. Or if you're someone who really believes that 'stopping gay people from having gay sex' is a serious national issue, that's going to result in floods, earthquakes, and WWIII - then move to Saudi Arabia, and stop destroying the Republican party

Gays aren't forcing us to like homosexuality, they are forcing silence from those who disapprove on whatever grounds. They don't want discussion, they want whoever speaks out GONE forever. See the difference?

 

Sinners. The man is expressing his personal religious belief of the behaviour of sinners, and the degradation which sin creates.

This country is largely based upon the notion that such expressions - and they are core expressions found throughout our history - are to be free from persecution.

I don't see any difference in any perception of bigotry on either side - except to say that the Christian side is the side instructed to love the sinner and hate the sin.

I support people's 'rights' to say what they want, as in I oppose the silly 'hate speech' laws that some liberals want to impose regarding homophobia and whatnot. At the same time being an outright homophobe probably isn't a smart move if you're representing a business, since their first interest is in what's best for their ratings. If they felt their ratings would take a hit then it might've been in their best interest to fire him - that's the price anyone pays if they say something stupid

Who is being characterized as someone he is not?

Don't tell me that Phil is being characterized WRONGLY as a bigot, who doesn't approve of either Black people or Gays and doesn't consider either of of those groups as "worthy" of equal civil rights!

There is PLENTY of video taping and comments that show that he is a bigot and considers his negative interpretation of "religion" as a destructive guide (and rationalization) to discrimination and bigotry!

And, he has the right to do that. . .just as we have the right to be offended by his comment and to call HIM a stupid fool, who knows NOTHING about the true meaning of Christianity!

But, with "freedom of speech" comes consequences (no. . .the Constitution did not protect us from consequences when we makes stupid, hateful comments!), and the 'right to work" which is widely supported by the Right, gives ANY employer the right to fire for anything they don't like in the way their employees represent their employer.

And I assume that NOW you will call me a "hater" also. . .well. . .go ahead, your opinion is a moot point for me.

I would expect that he would say that you're neither bad nor good. You're simply not saved. I daresay would also not automatically call you a sh!thead because he doesn't believe as you do. He would call you a sinner.
