There were world wars in the 50's and 60's?

They're not lazy, they just don't want to work. They put plenty of energy into other things, like gang banging and watching TV.

that's the problem... the welfare scammers have ruined it for those who may need the hand-me-up. But just because the honest people can't find a job in their career, doesn't mean they can't find a 10$ hour job to hold them over til they do find a job in their field....

Even if everyone developed a skill, someone would still have to flip the burgers, there isn't an infinite number of skilled jobs. I guess you like the idea that we'd have lots of highly skilled, highly disappointed burger flippers, who not only made a low-income, but were straddled with huge college loans they would default on. Seems like we could come up with better ideas.

that's incentive to be the best.... while you seem reserved to fall into mediocrity..... this also explains are different stations in life, currently.

like I found myself.... I was the most educated forklift operator at Lowes. I realized, that I still needed to improve my skillset instead of resigning myself to 10$ an hour like you.

again, this would explain why, despite spending the same amount of time with my family as you, I live in a house with a pool, and you live in subsidized housing.

There isn't any. Wherever you find happiness, grab it, as long as its legal=) Just don't blame anyone else if you're unhappy. There are plenty of people who are content with little, don't want a stressful job and are OK with not having to worry about work once you clock out. No one I know, but they exist.

My wife is co-owner and decides her own pay. I don't take any pay from the company because I already work a full time job besides the work I do for the company for free. Her pay and mine all combine together anyhow and we pay taxes accordingly. Why would you assume anyone who works for the company earns minimum wage? To be clear, none make less than $10 per hour cleaning houses and they don't have to use their own vehicle, their own supplies or their own equipment.

No, it's nice when it clicks for people that they shouldn't judge others based on their appearance or their job. It's a valuable lesson I taught my children early in life, but many carry their judgments well into adulthood.

How very convenient for her - no wonder she has an artificially enhanced view of the inner workings of the cleaning industry's wage structure.

What does that even mean? She's in charge of the entire business day to day. She calls the shots, sets the work schedule and manages every aspect, including participating in the actual cleaning work. Was there a point in your post or just an attempt to belittle someone who works hard and earns an honest living? I'm not "the boss"...she is. I have a full time job and the cleaning business is her full time job. Not sure what your posts are trying to get at and what would an "artificially enhanced view of the inner workings of the cleaning industry's wage structure" even be?

Wow, that was good. You managed to come off as an independent pious righteous person while at the same time claiming the govt needs to take from "the rich" in order to provide you with a house, clothing, food, heat, A/C, car, and entertainment money.

While I'm woking my a@@ off I guess I'll take solace in the fact the money the govt is stealing from me is being used so you can spend time with your family. I guess my family will just have to do without. Thanks.

Well there was a time a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away where there were no hamburgers to be flipped.

It is not just a matter of having a skill for the sake of it. Your skill must be translatable to money wherever you live. I could be the best darn electrical engineer for missiles in the world, but if I live in Memphis where (I assume) there aren't a lot of guided missiles, I might as well be a burger flipper. People will likely need lots of skills, skills they do not need at present, just to be able to adapt to the changing market needs.

Conservatives love to suck off the government teat. They just don't like when other people do it.

Have they really? I mean I know they damaged their reputation and image but have they made a substantial economic impact?

Really? Can you provide evidence for that claim?

And that's really the point. You have a very warped view of money, and your end goals. You think Capitalism is abhorrent, that's fine - but you don't offer any solutions. You just say "oh well, **** it", and use this as a license to operate off theft.

Though I don't agree with them, at least most left anarchists know what they ultimately want. Some want worker's democracies, some want society organized by trade unions, etc - they don't just operate off theft in the Capitalist system.

I don't expect you to agree with me, I expect others to agree with me.

I'm neither conservative nor liberal, but thanks for trying. Appears you are still butthurt for getting called out for calling someone with a job you view as beneath you a "loser".

    I lived it....

sorry bachelor degree doesn't think he should have to stock shelves at xxx-mart for 10$ because he's educated.... but truth is... he's not valued in the market place of his choice if he's not hired in that choice career.

    I wasn't

so I improved myself, (which cost money) while broke and did so while working a crap job, but not sucking off the govt teet.

I love that there are people like the OP (or even other degreed individuals) who sit here and blame everyone else instead of self-reflection and improvement. It made my job easier to find.

You haven't answered my question. Where is the statistical evidence to back your claims? All you've got is an example and anecdote.
