Getting back on the track of our exchange...do you really want to hang someone over a few cents? You reference "God"...... is that the view of people who believe in "God" ?
The bankers and Bernie Madoff 's and crooks that brought this entire country to it's knees economically and ruined millions of lives plus many outright murderers haven't been hung but you think a woman should be hung if a penny of your money goes to an abortion....

Could you please let me know how that would ruin your life ? Or what terrible hardships you'd face if that happened???

Of course you would...that's why you accuse a LOGICAL question on "pro-life" RHETORIC of being "flame-bait"...and won't answer it.

"Can't answer the question....attack the qeuestion"

    - - - Updated - - -

So abortion is not "the same" as "murder"?

    - - - Updated - - -

I asked a further question....how many TIMES could a woman terminate a pregnancy with RU-486 before you would label her a "serial killer" and want her executed?

BTW, I'm sure everybody has noticed how ONCE AGAIN the "pro-lifers" have tried to change the subject with the usual talk of "me forced to pay for it" and the UVVA and charges of "flamebait, so I'm not going to deign to give this question any response" and various and sundry things.

And once again proving the point of the OP....which was more about "pro-lifer" HONESTY and CONSISTANCY....than just abortion and executions.

Most women who get abortions do not consider it murder, is what I'm saying. So the intent is generally not there. If they consider it murder and still do it, I think it's murder too, so they should then be treated like murderers. But since they almost universally do not view it as murder... it really doesn't require all that you wrote to answer the question.

I haven't been evasive at all, it's a simple question and I answered it a few times already.

Only angry internet leftist take the position that abortion is permissible murder, at which point these rambling attempts at rhetorically boxing me in over a simple answer might have some semantic strength. But I have never encountered anyone who would say that abortion is permissible murder without internet anonymity.

Wow, really? I've been talking about government subsidies. Getting a government abortion subsidy, as leftist want, is not the natural state of being so it is the left and not the right that is getting into women's lives by seeking to provide such a "service" through taxation.

Could be that this is a sub forum that doesn't get as much attention as the main forums, and that you only gave it twelve hours.

    To the op: no.

Yup, the "lefties" want women covered for medical procedures just like everyone else:eekeyes:

Lefties, unlike the righties you ignore, are trying to keep rights for women...

That's a bad question. You ask if I think abortion is murder or not - it's obviously a matter of when, and the op said four weeks.

I fully understand what you are saying, it relates to the law as it stands now.

Whether they consider it murder or not is irrelevant, the fact remains that if abortion were to be made illegal it would be murder regardless of the feelings of any other person.

In a post Roe world (should it ever happen) any pregnant woman who plans an abortion and executes that plan would be guilty of premeditated murder or at least would be prosecuted as an accomplice after the fact which carries the same penalty as actually doing the act.

Yes you have answered based on how the law stands now, that is not the question asked by the OP, the question being -

If abortion were illegal, and the State where she was arrested and convicted had capital punishment...
would you support the EXECUTION of a woman who took RU-486 and self-induced an abortion at say 3-4 weeks?

The question is asked of those who consider abortion to be murder now, would they support the full punishment if abortion were to be made illegal, so you really have just evaded the premise of the question.

Generalization does nothing but show the inability of pro-lifers to answer the questions asked. For one I am not angry in anyway, shape or form, for another you are making assumption about my political position, something you cannot possibly know. All you can know is that I support the pro-choice position, to extrapolate that I am a "leftist" from that single position is absurd, furthermore just because you have never encountered a person with that position does not mean they do not exist.

So again, with reference to the original OP which you have tried to evade .. To all the pro-lifers who consider abortion murder do you support the full extent of punishment available to the courts should abortion ever be made illegal?

It is a simply question, would you care to answer?

This is just the bastardization of the UVVA by pro-lifers, the whole point of the UVVA and expressed by those who submitted the bill was to protect the woman's choice as to whether she maintained the pregnancy to birth. It's primary purpose was to prosecute any third party who removed that choice from the woman, and that is why abortion is excluded from the act . .abortion is the woman's choice, had not not been included the law would have been unconstitutional, since that time shyster lawyers have twisted and distorted the real purpose of the law in order to suit their own agenda.

    - - - Updated - - -

So you want all medical procedures removed from government funding?

    Why?

First degree murder (premeditated) is defined as - is any murder that is willful and premeditated - http://criminal.findlaw.com/criminal-charges/first-degree-murder-overview.html

what is more premeditated than a person who plans and executes that plan so that it ends in the death of another?

The Federal punishment for first degree murder is the death penalty or life imprisonment - Here you can check out the relative punishments at state level for first degree murder - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_punishments_for_murder_in_the_United_States

    Potential does not equal actual.

nice rant, though it in no way addresses the points made by Cady .. you are saying that because you don't support abortion that you should not have to pay a single dime towards it, by your logic anyone who does not support any government policy should be able to refuse to pay a dime towards it.

As to your little party piece of accusing others of wanting greater government involvement in peoples lives, please tell me what could be a greater involvement than policing pregnant women.. that is the reality of the pro-life mantra, they do want women to render "complete and utter surrender to government"

Hmm .. the question asks IF abortion were illegal so the "when" is irrelevant regardless of the gestation period.

So if a serial killer says "I didn't consider it murder when I went on a shooting rampage at a sorority".....YOU wouldn't conisider it "murder"???

Or again, can you just answer the question.....Do YOU consider abortion "murder"...and if it were illegal, would you want a woman who self-induced with RU-486 executed? Yes or No?

I've answered it like five times now kid, but your original question was about supporting the death penalty and not if I consider it murder.

Yes, do YOU consider ABORTION to be "murder"? And if it were illegal, would YOU support a woman being executed for self-inducing at 3 weeks with RU-486?

Sorry...perhaps I missed your answers....could please repeat them?

I care about both. The lives of the innocent must not be punished or killed because they are a "burden". I care about all life, and I believe it is a gift from God. There are those who have murdered, who will never show remorse or guilt or any chance of rehabilitation, whose crime stands above all others. They stole the gift of life from others in horrible ways. We either let them rot in jail or we send them to execution, pick your poison but they do not belong in society. I am not perfect, but if you see death as the only other means, then I will take my path and advocate for the right for those children to live. Whatever penalty may be in question is the decision of the court and the evidence provided. I can not make decision on who dies based on the given information. The purpose of the OP is to either make those who are pro-life look either heartless or ridiculous which I could do the same but choose not to. Those children had futures, lives to touch, and love to share, but that is being snatched away because they are a "burden."

If we went out into space, found a single celled organism on mars, we would call that life. But if it is a single celled organism inside of a womb, it is not? Please enlighten me.

So if your wife , daughter, girlfriend , grandmother took the morning after pill you'd want her executed..... disgusting!

But, oh, you believe life is so precious...

"""If we went out into space, found a single celled organism on mars, we would call that life. But if it is a single celled organism inside of a womb, it is not? Please enlighten me."""""

You can call it "life" or anything else you 'd like but if it's in another person's body it's none of your business what's done with it....

No, the purpose is to see if they can be honest and consistant......the heartlessness and ridiculousness is already there.

Not really. The OP isn't interested in intelligent debate. Only in formulating fantastical scenarios that don't have a basis in reality.

Please explain how the OP is only "formulating fantastical scenarios that don't have a basis in reality."?

What could be more of an intelligent debate than to ask those who consider abortion to be murder if they support the full punishment of that crime IF abortion were to be made illegal, including the death penalty in the states that have it, and I remind you that 1st degree murder is defined as "any murder that is willful and premeditated", planning an illegal abortion and executing that plan certainly fits the legal definition of 1st degree murder would you not agree?
