A majority of the US Supreme Court was nominated by "pro-life" GOP Presidents, so?

Why hasn't Roe v. Wade been overturned?

Roberts, Alito, Kennedy, Scalia, Thomas. That's five...that's a majority.

Since Ronald Reagan, the Republican Party has promised its "pro-life" voters "Elect a Republican as President, and he'll nominate Justices to the USSC that will overturn Roe and end the scourge of abortion."

Okay....they've done Part One- Ronald Reagan, George HW Bush, George W Bush

They've done Part Two- Five of nine on the Court were appointed by those "pro-life" Republicans.

Where's Part Three.....the overturning of Roe?

BTW, this is also a question to some nervous pro-choicers. IS there a reason to be nervous?

Hah! Ronald Reagan is the one who brought abortion to his state of California when he signed the Therapeutic Abortion Act on June 14, 1967. I laugh so much whenever lifers quote him on any of his stupid right to life quotes especially knowing this fact. If the man so openly opposed abortion why would he have ever signed this law?

They claim ...as they do so often when Reagan's "RINO" moments pop up...that he was "forced" or "tricked" into doing that "by Democrats". And "Reagan later really, really, really, really regretted that."

My own theory? Even guys like Roberts and Alito know that if Roe was overturned...it'd be a political nightmare for Republicans. First, they could run on overturning it....but second, with it going "state-by-state", the GOP as a national party would be toast.

Poll after poll shows that, though people call themselves "personally pro-life"....they want abortion kept legal. Which means politically, the opposite of what a "defeated Roe" Republican wants to have to run on....against his own base of "pro-lfiers".

It'd tear the GOP apart...even more than it is now.

Heck...even Thomas and Scalia....who are pure ideologues...may know this too.
