The rioting in Ferguson, Missouri, involves left-wing militants from across the country. It is not simply local unrest over the police shooting of Michael Brown. Out-of-state anarchists, Communists, Occupy movement members and other agitators are exploiting the situation to create chaos. That is their method for trying to bring down the American way of life that they detest.

The federal Anti-Riot Act must be enforced immediately against those working across state lines to promote rioting in Ferguson. Attorney General Eric Holder and President Barack Obama should use the full force of law against these militants.

Instead of focusing solely on possible civil rights charges against local law enforcement, Holder and Obama are legally required to act against professional agitators who promote violence and confrontation. Until they do, we cannot expect peace to be restored. Yet their official comments focus solely on their racial agendas, showing a blindness toward domestic terrorists such as violent anarchists.

The town of Ferguson is being invaded and victimized by these organized groups. This week’s arrests in Ferguson include persons who rushed to Missouri from New York and California, the Los Angeles Times reported. It also includes others from Chicago and Detroit, The Washington Post said. CNN reported the outside agitators include anarchists, Communists and revolutionaries.

Federal law (18 U.S. Code § 2101) makes it a crime to travel or to use interstate communications (which includes social media) “(1) to incite a riot; or (2) to organize, promote, encourage, participate in, or carry on a riot; or (3) to commit any act of violence in furtherance of a riot; or (4) to aid or abet any person in inciting or participating in or carrying on a riot or committing any act of violence in furtherance of a riot.”

The law also mandates speedy action by the Attorney General and Department of Justice. The statute directs that “the Department shall proceed as speedily as possible with a prosecution of such person(s).” But there is no sign of that speedy action which is needed right now.

Missouri Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson says provocateurs are a major problem and a source of firearms and Molotov cocktails aimed at Ferguson police: “These criminal acts came from a tiny minority of troublemakers. … Protesters are peaceful and respectful. They don’t clash with police. They don’t throw Molotov cocktails.” Capt. Johnson has urged that protests occur only in daylight so that the instigators cannot hide behind peaceful crowds.

Missouri State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, a Democrat who represents Ferguson, told Fox News, “we have anarchists here” who are ginning up the violence.

The Post reported, “They are known here as ‘the militants’ — a faction inhabiting the hard-core end of a spectrum that includes online organizers and opportunistic looters — and their numbers have been growing with the severity of their tactics since the shooting.

“Some of the men are from the area — Ferguson or surrounding towns. … Many others … have arrived by bus and by car from Chicago, Detroit, Brooklyn and elsewhere.”

Other reports confirm that these domestic terrorists are meeting surreptitiously in Ferguson and online through social media to stoke violence. They use the same means as the Occupy movement which rioted in Oakland, California, and plotted to blow up a bridge in Cleveland, Ohio, and as the anarchists who fomented riots in Seattle and Washington, D.C., during World Bank events.

Even beyond Ferguson, the mobile squads of anarchists and fellow travelers will continue to exploit and worsen civil unrest wherever and whenever they can. The Anti-Riot Act requires the Attorney General to act immediately against these agitators. That action by Eric Holder is already overdue.

They are the chief law enforcement officers in the nation. It is their responsibility to put a stop to this and prosecute all involved who have crossed state lines to reek havoc on this town and stir racial strife.

Will they hold up their oaths of office?

My poor frightened little sparrow. Are you really asking if "Fast and Furious" Holder and the Imam Mr. Soetero will honor their oaths of office?
They've been trying on different tactics here. Militarized po po just made everyone more angry. The hugs and kumbaya highway patrol just made everyone laugh. The National Guard... we'll have to see how that plays out.
The truth is that under the current regime, more and more Americans are just plain mad as hell. That's why they're flocking to Ferguson under the current banner. That's why others went to the Bundy ranch. Still others are planning to occupy the border between the US and Mexico. There are probably other issues that we've missed while the media was preoccupied with school lunches.
Holder was sent to Ferguson because the regime knows that civil unrest will continue to increase. I just read a thread where the Pew center disclosed that there has been a decline in total employed persons since the recession began, with Cali. leading at 11.1% News like that can only result in more angry Citizens. Faith in our Gov. is at rock bottom, and still sinking. The regime is working hard at trying to find the least aggravating way to contain an angry mob. Surely, the provisions of the riot act are on the table, but that would make too many people even more angry, and more determined to rebel.
The dissolution of a once great Nation is a very ugly process.

If we've learned anything it's that President Obama and AG Eric Holder don't have to do anything that might benefit the country they hate.

I agree with the premise but unfortunately expecting Holder and Obama to do that is akin to asking the wolves to guard the sheep and not eat them. It ain't ever going to happen UNLESS Obama is shamed into it or Valerie Jarrett tells him to do so. And I believe I'll be a millionaire 50 times over before that ever happens!

The cops have been doing a fine job for a few days now. There's no need to bring in federal troops. Capt. Johnson has it under control.

Federal charges should be immediately filed against anyone who violated the Riot Act, if you do not agree then tell us why.

It's a simple matter of the prosecutor using discretion. Those who are committing crimes are now being apprehended and prosecuted. There's no need to escalate tensions by charging people with federal crimes for rioting.

Now, if this were the Bundy supporters and clan, the feds would throw the book at anyone and everyone involved, and then monitor them for the rest of their lives.

Naturally, the Moonie Times leaves out that....

given comments made by guys like Rand Paul and Ted Cruz about Ferguson?

If such a BROAD interpretation of the Anti-Riot Act were used.....Ted and Rand could be arrested.

    - - - Updated - - -

If as the Moonie Times wanted, a broad interpretation of the Anti-Riot Law was implemented during the Bundy showdown?

Sean Hannity could have been arrested.

No, I don't believe the Bundy supporters broke any laws. Now compare and contrast and then think about it for a while

The anti riot act was to suppress states who rebelled against the union, not peaceful protesters or angry poor people.

Threatening violence against Federal agents isn't against the law?

    Read again

"Federal law (18 U.S.

It is a FEDERAL crime and Holder has NOT announced any intentions of enforcing this law which he is compelled to enforce in the most expeditious manner. Has he announced he is taking this over from local officials? Or just the persecution of the police officer?

And BTW I supported the police action against the Bundy protesters so your attempt to divert rather than address the situation here just failed, better know who you are dealing with next time you try to engage in such folly.

Ahhhh rioters and looters and gunmen and arsonist are NOT peaceful protesters. Even the local people are complaining that the people engaged in this violence are not from there, are not the local poor people.

We have a federal statue ON THE BOOKS that compels the AG to prosecute those who have crossed state lines and either engaged in or incited riots and violence.

Why do you object to him using the law to prosecute these animals?

Really give me the BROAD part of arresting and prosecuting under federal law the rioters and arsonist and looters and those enciting such action in Ferguson?

And without the specious attempts to divert the discussion in an attempt to excuse such behavior.

Anyone arrested and charged with threatening violence against federal agents? What about the militarized police making threats and aiming automatic weapons at them?

Maybe Holder has done some of this and the media is choosing NOT to highlight it.......however, I'm wondering why Holder hasn't said a word to this citizens about how the police have a job to do and the uniform should be respected? He should remind those citizens that the police come when you call with a domestic problem......someone is robbing your stores.....someone is beating up your kid........so have at least a little respect for their putting their lives on the line to protect you and your town. Instead it appears he's gone in there with nothing but negative stuff to say about policeman and that doesn't do ANY good at all. He might as well let the Black Panthers speak for him IF all he's going to do is agree that the police are just horrible people.

No one is going to enforce an Anti-Riot Act IF it means taking action against looters, robbers, arsonists, and strong-arm thugs who are BLACK. They are not only free from any retaliation from the law for rioting, burning, looting, and mob violence, they get the Attorney General of the United States flying into town to kiss their little Black asses and sympathize with them: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/08/20/holder-ferguson-investigation/14356869/

If you thought that these hyperliberal Black racists, like Holder and Obama couldn't be any worse -- then think again! This Eric Holder is the same one who was lecturing White America about being "cowards on race". This Eric Holder is the same one who totally looked the other way and refused to do anything about the New Black Panthers intimidating White voters in Philadelphia:
    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/02/18/holder-calls-nation-cowards-race-matters/
    http://nation.foxnews.com/attorney-general/2012/03/28/holder-lets-black-panthers-skate-again

Holder is the kind of White-hating racist apparatchik who never, ever should have been brought into any official government position -- let alone being made the Attorney General. He has refused to do anything about the IRS Gestapo persecution of Conservative organizations, and he has refused to do anything at all about the Fast-and-Furious scandal. He's been held in contempt by the U. S. House of Representatives, and Obama should have sent him packing two years ago. But Obama is the same kind of dirty, autocratic creep -- choosing which laws he wants to enforce, ignoring the others, and pandering to criminals, rioters, and strong-arm thugs!

And when you mash all the bull**** air-bubbles out of their replies, about the only thing the Leftist hyperlibs ever come back with is something like, "Yeah, but their people were slaves in this country". NEWS BULLETIN: President Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY YEARS AGO! President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 into law, putting all Americans on an equal footing before the law FIFTY YEARS AGO!

In 2014 there is no excuse for having an Attorney General like Eric Holder. And there never was a good reason to elect a NOTHINGNESS like Barack Obama to being anything but the entertainment coordinator at a community carnival....

Show us just one person who rioted because of their comments and I would agree.

Were was the rioting and looting?? Do you know what a riot is? Has Soros told you anything or does he just send you talking points?

And the 14th A. was written and passed to make freed slaves citizens not children born to people who fly to the USA to have a baby so that they can have a pathway to citizenship.

If a federal agent felt threatened she should have shot the person threatening her. Being part of the EPA dressed in black doesn't make you a federal agent in my opinion.

Did you read the law? Federal law (18 U.S. Code § 2101) makes it a crime to travel or to use interstate communications (which includes social media) “(1) to incite a riot; or (2) to organize, promote, encourage, participate in, or carry on a riot; or (3) to commit any act of violence in furtherance of a riot; or (4) to aid or abet any person in inciting or participating in or carrying on a riot or committing any act of violence in furtherance of a riot.”

So far Holder has told the local people that he understands their hatred of the police because he was stop for speeding once. Maybe he forgot or just doesn't care about his oath to enforce the laws and his obligation to protect the Constitution.

How about ANGRY Attorney Generals { Holder } who is on record admitting
that he's an ACTIVIST. That he wouldn't be doing his job if he wasn't an Activist.
Which explains why Both he { Holder } and Obama { Michelle clarified for the record
that her hubby was not a Community Organizer but a Community Activist } attended
the Al Sharpton NAN convention in march.Sharpton the most easily
    recognizable Activist in the land.
All of them are Black and Activist and Angry. Is that a good combination.
Which explains why Wayne Allyn Root penned an article at WMD titled :
Obama Lit the Match in Ferguson - Aug.20

Using the fact that Rand Paul and Ted Cruz made comments about the Ferguson situation....even direct POLITICALLY influenced statements (ref: Rand talking about the "militarization of the police".....

under the same idea that the Moonie Times had for arresting guys it DOESN'T like ...like Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson.......guys like Rand and Ted could ALSO be arrested.

Anybody who could be linked to "agitating".....even someone being critical of the police and their "militarized equipment".....would be liable for arrest.....given the standard the WT wants.

BTW, note how the goalposts have been moved.....the original premise of the OP was arresting "outside people agitating"......which can be shown to include even people the Moonie Times likes....like conservatives like Rand Paul or Ted Cruz....

now, it's the arsonists and looters being arrested....which of course everybody agrees with.

The OP's premise has now been abandoned.

In case you haven't been listening the peaceful protesters and community leaders have been quite clear that the looters and rioters are NOT part of their protest. Many of those rioters and looters have been held and detained and arrested and they claim by the media and local authorities is that the vast majority are not from there with many being from out of state. The law requires Holder to mount a speedy prosecution of those people under the federal Riot Act.

And he was removed from the scene and put on suspension. But I can fully understand since the peaceful protesters were tossing bags of their (*)(*)(*)(*) on them and spitting on them and otherwise cursing even worse at them. And yes police are taught to use such intimidating language when dealing with unruly people and they are trying to get control of the situation. He got out of hand and was dealt with.

Yes, when a peaceful protest turns into a riot and with rioters destroying private property and looting and committing arson and firing on police and tossing Molotov cocktails it is no longer a peaceful protest. Doesn't matter if the organizers intended it that way it is no longer peaceful protest, it is no longer protected by the Constitution but in violation of the law.

    - - - Updated - - -

Please quote them urging rioting and looting and arson or that the purpose of their speech was to do so.
