You continuously try to compare two different recessions (with great differences in severity) as if they are the same.

He gets attacked because he created a lot of new spending programs, launched two wars, and doled out huge tax cuts all at the same time.

I've posted several links now that support my position.

I don't see much of a need to continue this conversation. You're being intellectually dishonest pretending that those recessions are the same thing.

Fair use doctrine is quite weak. You can be held liable for infringement even of a small piece if the court thinks it is the "essence" of the article.

In my mind (and I'm sure I'm going to get a LOOOTTTTTT of push-back on this comment) GWB and Obama are too different types of Presidents, with similar policies. Here's what I mean. Bush was a strong LEADER. He had amazing leadership abilities, and he had the ability to make congress work together. Bush's leadership was outstanding. He visited the the military all the time in Iraq and Afghanistan...he really took a page out of a General's handbook. Remember, when Obama took office, he inherited 2 wars. 2 wars is pretty much a whole presidency (in terms of time spent focusing on a subject). So Obama needed to show leadership. Instead, he changed the rules of engagement to put us (Soldiers) in MORE danger. He made it a "wait to get shot at before you can shoot" war. Literally.

That makes him very unpopular to those that support our nation's troops.

IMO, he is unpopular because he ran as the anti-Bush and turned out to be Bush-redux.

I think that he's unpopular because no matter what he does it blows up either in his face, in the nation's face, or in an allie's face. I don't think he's ever gotten anything done that hasn't had a terrible downside to it and . . . people finally noticed. Well they noticed that and the fact that he lies so much that he makes Richard Nixon look like a cub scout in comparison. Again it comes down to what he (and the collective Mainstream Media) sold him as versus what he actually turned out to be in the end, an arrogant narcissist . . . among other things.
