No, I know that dogs such as mastiffs are pound for pound a hell of a lot stronger than a full grown human man.

i've owned and handled mastiffs for decades, but that's not the point, the point is

that there's no good reason to allow a child to stand on a dog


after my girl had her whelps, i didn't let the pups pile up on top of each other to sleep

why? because there have been known cases of death in that situation

i know a mastiff breeder that recently lost one that way

 

Excuse me but the 2nd child ...the little boy...has a condition known as Down's Syndrome! That means he is mentally deficient. He may be 6 years physically in age and only 2 years in mental age! So saying he "should know better" and having no problem with the other smaller child...well that tells me that maybe you should look up Down's Syndrome and learn what it entails. And for the record (not to be crass) Down's Syndrome could mean stupidity depending on how you look at it. Trig is probably functioning (though I have no way of knowing for sure) at around 3 years of age! And it could be that the other child is small for his/her age.

Dude face it, a small child standing on the back of a medium to large breed dog is not any different than a child standing on the back of their father. It's nothing to do a dog, and if the animal doesn't like it it will do something about it.

Duh, if you had bothered reading my post and comprehending what I read you would have understood that Palins son was twice the size of the other child. It had nothing to do with her child or my personal views of her child. It could have been anyone's child being that size, and I would have been critical of someone that size standing on a dog. It just goes with common sense, of which Palin has none.
