I'm sure a future Islamic history will judge America harshly. Infidels and all that. However America can't take all of the credit, or even most of it, for the rise of radical Islam. It has many different roots, but America's main contribution was to inspire a book that rocked the Middle East and lead to the creation of the Muslim Brotherhood.

I sit here shaking my head at some of the responses on here.

Three people walk into a building and go around asking names - shooting and killing people clearly on a list they have prepared. No matter what you call it, this is nothing but an example of cold-blooded murder - an act totally outside the norms of civilized activities.

Muslims, with their warped beliefs, instantly applaud this as defending their beliefs. I've seen some liberals on TV openly stating the staff of the periodical should have known better than to insult Islam and their deaths are merited.

And, of course, the apologists do their best to divert from this barbaric action by insinuating or claiming that certain other countries and religions are equally at fault.

What is there in the minds of these warped people that does not allow them to understand their belief in the cult is causing misery everywhere it raises its ugly head.
