I wonder how many people have been injured/killed by a knife of "legal size?" What is the criteria for deciding "legal size?" Inane.

There have been many cases of suspects being thrown to the ground and handcuffed behind their backs while placing a knee on the neck to subdue the person, where the person sustained neck injuries as a result. The Federal prison system no longer does this because of just such injuries, but sadly, law enforcement across the country still does it.

And we do know what ultimate killed him. His spine was 80% severed, and few people recover from such a severe injury.

I'm not sure how the police killed him. It's clear that instead of getting him the medical care that he needed, they dragged him to their van. Even when a woman screamed that there was something wrong with his leg, they kept dragging him.

Well, like I said, there's a wave of unarmed black men being killed and murdered by police officers across the country. You can define "wave" as you please.

Everything I stated is true. Calling it a "narrative" doesn't make it untrue.

I don't believe that we'll ever get the story about what if anything happened in the police van. The basic facts are that prior to his encounter, the man could walk. After his encounter, he could not. No, he is not a model citizen and yes, probably should have already been in prison. This case does not justify riots. The coroners reports will provide more details.

What constitutes a "wave"? Are more black men being killed by police than a year ago? Two years ago? 5 years ago? 10 years ago? Are more blacks killed by police than white?

For the people of Baltimore it means time to hit the streets. 0 for 5, And the one in New York, you see a police officer sneak up behind a guy and put him in a chock hold and take him to the ground and chock him to death while you hear him saying he can't breathe. No crime here, nothing to see here.

I'm just waiting to see what develops.

Do those who are protesting serve a useful purpose in drawing attention to the matter? Probably. It insures that it can't be ignored

Do those who are being destructive? No. They're worse than useless.

No, it really isn't. It isn't true at all.

We'll never get the truth. The Police Departments don't release all evidence in these cases. There is no oversight. Even the FBI doesn't get all the facts.

The cloudy departments need cleaning up. They're public servants, not state garrisoned militia. Transparency is a must, and the PD don't give the public nearly a shred of real information on these cases.

    1. Fact: Mr. Gray could walk, and talk, before he met up with the police.
    2. Fact: There was no recording IN the van that we know of.
    3. Fact: Mr. Gray could not walk after getting out of the van.

Those are facts. Something happened in the van, or before the recording of the video. Something.

The public will never, ever know what that something is, because we allow the PD to police and use oversight, on itself.

    Shameful.

It takes a hell of a lot to sever a spinal chord. You cant just bend someone a certain way and snap like you might see someone break someones neck in the movies. You might be able to strain their back, or injure it, but sever a spinal chord? It would take a level of abuse that I doubt any cop would put on a criminal and expect to get away with it. I would say there would have to be special circumstances, like the back surgery we've heard rumors about. If they wanted him dead, they could have just shot him and said he grabbed one of their weapons or whatever. Going to the trouble of severing a spinal chord is a lot more work.

It is my understanding that the break was not in the back region, but was in the neck region. Spinal cord injuries and severely severed spinal columns are very common with neck injuries.

While I admit, I have not researched if it was truly in the the neck region, it seems like that is what I have heard from a few sources. If true, I believe this is just more intentional deception by the media. While technically a neck spinal injury is still a spinal injury, the lack of clarification as to the specific location of the injury is intended to make people believe it was in the back.....an area that would take considerable force in order to sever a spinal cord.

By omitting this fact, at it's best it is very poor journalism. At it's worse, it is just more sensationalized media for the sole purpose of misleading the audience to become outraged. By the shear number of outlets that seldom release this fact, I feel it is the later.

Lol, if thats the case, and he was runnning around without a neck brace or anything, it probably wouldnt take much of a struggle to kill him. That's on the criminal, not the cops.

In the last four years, Baltimore city has been involved in over 100 judgments and settlements related to excessive use of force by the Baltimore City Police Department. Costing the city millions of dollars. If it's fair to assume that Freddy Gray was involved in some kind of criminal activity based on his history, it's just as fair to assume that the police used excessive force, based on their history.

Just what if? ....let's say the Police did nothing wrong?....will that be believed? ...Tell me something? ...will it matter what is deemed "The Truth?" ....or is one outcome the Politically Correct narrative that has to happen?
