My reason is she is still innocent

 

I'd save Betty.

Because she doesn't seem like the result of somebody putting something in my drink.

I don't.

 

Then Betty must be the only naturally born American citizen in the group if this is part of a government test.

 

Do you have so little going on in your life that you actively seek out my topics or posts just so you can post insults and idiotic observatons???

This question I asked is not something I made up nor does it have anything to do with Religion, Science, Sexuality....etc.

The correct answer is to save BETTY.

All that is left is for a member to post WHY Betty is the correct answer and asthis is a question upon actual TESTS specific mostly to LIFE GUARDS....but carried on as the correct answer for Questions upon Tests given to U.S. Coast Guard Trainees, Master Diver Rescue Tests, Seals...etc...etc....your post is both inapropriate as well as just plain ignorant.

Unlike you....mamy members here fortunately JUMP AT THE OPPERTUNITY TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW....as I know I certainly do!!!

If you don't want to participate....then don't.

But don't involve yourself or make yourself look foolish in front of others who are interested.

By the way....anyone who desires to know the answer ask me in a PM and I will tell you i a return PM as to not ruin it for those still attempting to figure it out.

Betty is the correct answer but as I stated this is a very REAL QUESTIION with a single correct answer based upon a specific Methodology.

You have to explain WHY is saving Betty....the 11 year old waif of a girl.....who will have no real positive or negative effect upon the Human Race now or in the Future or Past and neither will any family and children.

Yet SAVING BETTY is the correct answer.

Why?

Damage At Meadows Estimated In Thousands

Damage at Sunday night's Rage Against the Machine concert at the Meadows Music Theatre in Hartford was put at as much as $40,000 on Monday.

Jim Koplik, who operates the amphitheater, said 10 percent of the sod was ripped up and thrown around by concertgoers. That was less than the 60 percent of the sod damaged at the Lollapalooza '95 show, which resulted in a cost of $55,000 and the cancellation of at least one concert.

But Koplik added that the 30 percent of the wooden fencing surrounding the perimeter of the lawn area that was destroyed by fans put the total damage estimate at more than $30,000.

As a result, the lawn area will be closed for Saturday's concert by 311 and De La Soul. No more lawn tickets will be sold for that event, and the 500 purchasers of lawn tickets will be asked to sit in the reserved seats.

Koplik said 19,500 showed up for the Rage Against the Machine show, that also featured The Wu-Tang Clan and Atari Teenage Riot. That makes it the third largest attendance of this summer's two dozen shows there, behind only the Dave Matthews Band and Jimmy Buffett.

The lawn should be repaired in time for the next concert at the Meadows, the Buffett concert Aug. 27, which is expected to be a sellout.

Most of the damage occurred after 10 p.m., when the main set of Rage Against the Machine had ended, but before the encore. Meadows officials asked Rage lead singer Zack De La Rocha to ask the audience to settle down and stop hurting one another. ``He was very open to it,'' Koplik said.

Some of the wooden slats from the fence were piled up for a bonfire.

`It was completely out of control,'' said Douglas Kiang, 29, who drove up with his wife from New Jersey for the show.

He said a surge of people rushed toward the reserved seat barricade to get out of the way of flying sod. He said his wife was hit twice by sod. ``The security completely lost control of the concert,'' Kiang said. ``It was very frightening.''

Koplik said 150 security guards were on hand for the event, and more than 30 Hartford police. Most shows require a security force of 65 and just a dozen police, he said.

At least one concertgoer complained about being hit with pepper spray by police on the lawn, but Koplik said, ``kids were spraying kids with pepper spray.''

Now.....THE REAL STORY.

I used to tour Nationally and Internationally and I have toured with bands such as Aerosmith Tool, Heart, Robin Trower, OZZFEST, Black Sabbath with both Ozzy and Dio....etc.

Jim Koplik is my friend and he worked very hard as a Promoter to finally own a world class Venue.

Jim asked Rage Against the Machine Singer Zack De La Rocha to ask the audience to settle down and stop hurting one another. ``He was very open to it,'' Koplik said......but this was at 10:00 PM.....AFTER Most of the damage occurred when the main set of Rage Against the Machine had ended, but before the encore.

I was there but I was not playing and watched Singer Zack De La Rocha whip into a frenzy the croud using the old....IT'S WAR!!! US AGAINST THEM!!!

He could have prevented this from happening.

Jim had just becoe the owner of this venue so you could say EVERY DIME COUNTED!!!

And it was true that Rage Against the Machine Singer Zack De La Rocha asked the audience to settle down after Jim asked him to make that announcement.....but make no mistake.....Zack De La Rocha caused this issue and this was but one of many destructive issues that resulted Rage to replace Zack De La Rocha with Chris Cornel singer of SOUND GARDEN as they created the band.....AUDIO SLAVE.

As I was purposely hanging out near the Rage Dresssing Room I heard an arguement going on betweeen the Rage Musician's and Zack De La Rocha as even the members of RAGE thought Zack took things too far.

Zack De La Rocha yelled some obsenities at his band mates and left the dressing room with a friend as they snikered about the damage walking past me and for whatever reason Zack De La Rocha PURPOSELY BUMPED INTO ME and I was not expeting it as there was no need for it and we had never even been introduced.

To make things worse his friend yelled back to me....."Watch where your Cracker A$$ is going!!!"

I usually let stuff like this go as I am expertly trained but the laughing and snickering of Zack De La Rocha with his friend after they swore at the other members of Rage CONFIRMED MY SUSPICIONS THAT ZACK DID THIS ON PURPOSE!!!

A Frontman has ENORMOUS RESPONSIBILITIES on stage as they scream something like....."WATER COSTS TOO MUCH HERE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!"......expect the crowd to start attacking vendors and stealing water.

So As Jim is my buddy I yelled back to the walking away Zack De La Rocha....."You will NEVER PLAY HERE AGAIN!!"

I tured away and walked towards where Jim was assessing the damage when I hear sneakers on concrete as quietly and as swiftly as possible coming toward me.

I will only say this about what happened......Zack De La Rocha punches like a little girl.

Well, the question I answered was who I would save, not who I should be saving according to Coast Guard tests in a country I've never been. The answer I gave was correct for the question I attempted to answer.

Since there are so many details about the situation that have been changed, it's hard to know which details are not to be considered changed. Thinking about all the things we know about them and what you've said does not matter doesn't leave a lot of information. You say it does not have anything to do with history or gender. I was tempted to say three are Jewish, but you said it has nothing to do with religion (it could be Jewish as in race, but I have a hard time thinking the US Coast Guard will teach people that). You haven't ruled out age yet, but that's iffy since the ages of the others is unspecified.

Those are the only details we have about Betty. It could be that it has to do with the other possible survivors, but all reasons, except for maybe fame, that I can think of makes little sense.

 

This is not a real question for any test and I will tell you why.

The idea of a choice between religious figures that many people don't believe in would be culturally biased and thus ineffective. The question is stupid on its face. Now why does it matter? Because I think you are someone who acts arrogant with no reason.

 

If the reason to save Betty is because it would be futile to try to save the others in comparison, then this is phrased poorly. I know in the case of CPR, it is unlikely to succeed upon the very old. So if we're assuming all of the others are old, that could be a reason to save Betty.

I can think of no other morally valid reason to choose Betty, aside from also assuming the others are old and doing it based upon expected life years gained.

Otherwise I'd choose Einstein so he could contribute more. Scientists are worth more to me.

 

If not nationality, then I will go with the other 3 have influence and people who have influence are a danger to the status quo, so it is better to save a person who does not lead anybody or present any sort of potential change to to the system.

You say he owns the Meadows? No he does not and didn't in 1997 when this story is from. In fact a lease was bought from the owner, the City of Hartford by the company Koplik worked for SFX which is now LiveNation. BTW it is now called the Xfinity Theatre.

Nope the City owns it and it is run by a corporation.

Kar-Mech, with all the anger you display, I feel sorry for you. All you seem to want to do is attack. I'm puzzled, if AA or anyone here makes you feel that way, why in the world do you keep reading their posts and taking minutes out of your life to respond...especially to a post one of those ppl STARTED!!!!

The only thing I can figure is that it must FEED something in you, but the issue is in you, not some of the rest of us...no disrespect meant when I say: you may want to seek help for this issue to try to uncover what it feeds; (unless you know you are just doing it for fun).

Ok AA, my last thought on this is that, it is the average ppl that contribute the most to this world, that do the grunt work, that make the world work. (which I have to log out to go do, lol)

 

Is it a buoyancy issue? Young people have smaller lungs, which means smaller amounts of air in them to help her float, and her body fat at age 11 is likely lower than that of an adult, which further decreases buoyancy.

As I have stated there is an actual CORRECT ANSWER to this question and a METHODOLOGY that dictates why it is BETTY that get's saved.

The adult men would fight against the rip tide and take me down with them. Betty is a little girl that couldn't pull me under and would not fight against the tides.

 

I let them all drown and save myself. I have stuff to do that won't get done if I drown.

As anyone with such training knows it is IMPOSSIBLE to swim against a RIP TIDE!!

A Rip Tide happens when usually a storm cuts a channel and stacks sand on either sides of this channel that the seawater from a storm digs literally from just a meter or so from the shore out anywhere from 75 to 100 feet up to 100 to 200 Meters I have seen them.

DIVERS...as I am a Master Diver...we actually LOOK FOR THEM....and use them to quickly propell us out such distances quickly as we have about 100 lbs of weight in metal tanks and weight belts and regulators and dive computers...etc.....strapped to our body.....so we go to the highest point and look for one that will shot us out toward the reef if we are not using a boat.

Now in the question I posed you as the person capable of saving one of them.....well you PICK BETTY....because to GET OUT OF A RIP TIDE.....you must swim further out to sea.....then swim a distance with the curreent to the left or right and anyone who is at the stage of PANICKING as we have the option to SAVE BETTY....a small 11 year old girl who we could control easily and if necessary deliver a blow to knock her out to save her life...........

.......OR.......we could chose Jesus, Moses or Einstein....all men.....all in a state of PANIC.....and every single one of them would FIGHT A PERSON TRYING TO SAVE THEIR LIFE TOOTH AND NAIL as in order to save them you must bring them FURTHER OUT TO SEA.....which for them PSYCHOLOGICALLY IS TERRRIFYING!!!!

They would fight you.....they could posssible hurt you.....and you could drown along with all of them!!!!

Betty....a Man like myself and most men can control.

If necesssary to save Betty's Life.....I could easily knock her out.

Betty IS THE CLEAR CHOICE!!!

Actually I am glad you solved it because right about this time the crazy Religious start going off about Jesus this or Moses that...etc.

No....FIRST thing you do is make sure they don't take you down with them.

Second thing you do is CHOSE.

It's tough.....but I used to be a Life Guard and I am a Master Diver and even a small women can put up one hell of a fight if she is in a state of panic.

I always have a Dive Knife strapped to one leg and the end of the handle has been flanged out to use it to hit a person dead center of their forehead right between the eye's but about 2 to 4 inches up depending o the person.

When you hit them there and you ONLY do that if they are out of control....it moves their entire brain back a 1/4th to 1/2 inch...more than enough to knock them out.

But I am glad you got it!!!

I see this methodology of yours now, but there is one thing. You said we can choose a person to save. Not choose who to try to save and possibly fail.

Now from an entirely realistic approach taking into account actual odds of survival. I don't save anyone. I can't swim.
