Well the International Court better hurry!! Cheney is about a year past the normal life span of someone with a 'bought and paid for' ticker. (But then Cheney is RICH, maybe he bought a better heart than regular people have available to them). He certainly DESERVES to be tried.

Dick Cheney should — and eventually will — be tried as a war criminal: former International Court judge

    07 JUL 2015 AT 11:53 ET

The world’s most distinguished expert in international human rights law believes Dick Cheney should – and eventually will – stand trial for war crimes.

Thomas Buergenthal, who served as a judge at the International Court of Justice for the first 10 years of this century, said he believes the former U.S. vice president could be brought before the International Criminal Court, reported Newsweek.

“Some of us have long thought that Cheney and a number of CIA agents who did what they did in those so-called black holes should appear before the ICC,” said Buergenthal, who survived the Auschwitz concentration camp as a boy.

It's a little too late. Unfortunately, Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld et al will never pay for their crimes. They even have secret service protection (at least Bush and Cheney do), they're being protected at taxpayer expense. IMO it's a pretty shameful part of the American condition right now.

Its just impossible to take you seriously when you're such a hypocrite.

You'd never hold your master HRH Obama to his crimes but you want us to believe other people should be held to their (fictitious) ones?

    Get real son.

This should be in the conspiracy forum. The supposed IC judge makes 1 comment on foreign policy in the entire article: “(Bush was) an ignorant person who wanted to show his mother he could do things his father couldn’t,”

So I can be taken seriously if I discuss foreign policy in terms of Obama's mother and father?

Yet this guy is taken seriously? What a disgraceful joke.

They only way Cheney will ever stand trial for any crime he may or may not have committed as Vice President is if he is tried in absentia.

He will never sit in a actual court or face actual punishment.

You really want an international court trying American citizens?

That is worse than anything you accuse of Cheney did. If he is guilty of something why not just try him here?

Oh, no evidence you say? So you are just going to take him to some court you know he will get convicted in over our own laws?

    That is ridiculous.

I would prefer we do it ourselves.

Because the oligarchy will never take one of their own to court for "just" a little torture.

This is what you call "selective enforcement". Just like Obama and the borders.

    What do you mean, "over"?

There is plenty of evidence. Including Cheney's own admissions.

Torture is never ridiculous. War crimes are never ridiculous.

Dick Cheney is one of the architects of US state sponsored terror.

We should try him ourselves, unless we want to be total hypocrites.
