So it is 'political correctness' to distinguish between personal attacks based on characteristics like race, gender, orientation, disability and religions and political attacks based on public statements and action. its a distinction I recall from what my grandfather and father taught me. Grandpa called the former 'cheap shots' and Dad called them ad hominen attacks.
