Are you sure about Saudi funding of Daesh? My impression of the situation is that in general, the Saudi government is with the US against Daesh. But there are more Bin Ladens than there were in 1990, and powerful Saudi elites are defying the government to support Daesh (or perhaps other terrorists). I'm sensing that the government is caught between a rock and a hard place concerning targeting these terrorist supporters, because pushing too hard threatens their legitimacy.

They tend to play both sides by funding Madrasas which are Islamic Schools and a hot bed of terrorist creation.

The Saudi's are deathly afraid of any Islamic Rebellion and they sort of pay off Extremists by donating Millions to Madrasas.

It was my JOB in the early 2000's to find out which one's were radicalized and which one's were not.

I don't care. Someone can spend a lot of time in another place, yet spin tales about it, denying the reality of what's happening there. All depends upon their mindset.......

When someone constantly denies the truth about something, as in this case, I start to question if that person actually lived there. I'm assuming she did, but then........? See what I mean?

People and their fantasies have happened before........

OBL was the only black sheep in the Bin Laden family.. The rest of them are businessmen.

Daesh is a threat to all Saudis including the elite..

Oral History - Richard Cheney | The Gulf War | FRONTLINE ...

    http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/gulf/oral/cheney/1.html

Q: How important was the meeting with the Saudis?

Cheney: It was a very important assignment. From a military standpoint if we could not get into Saudi Arabia it was going to be very hard for us to do anything militarily other than mount a naval blockade for example.

Q: And what did you say to King Fahd?

Cheney: I told King Fahd that the Iraqis were amassed on his border and we briefed him on the intelligence in terms of the size of the force that the Iraqis had already used in Kuwait. Pointed out that it was very hard for us to be able to help them unless we could get plenty of advance time 'cos it takes a long time to move heavy forces half way around the world and that timing was of the essence. That they did not have the luxury of waiting until Saddam began an invasion of Saudi Arabia and then ask for help because then it would be too late.

Pakistan has almost nothing in the way of public schools.. The madrassas are small -20-30 boys between the ages of 7 and 12 when Pakistani boys have to go to work.. They learn the basics.. reading, writing, arithmetic, geography.. They are not allowed to teach Al Bannah or Qbut.. or that kind of stuff.

The Invasion of Iraq was for one purpose only.

It was a demonstration of overwhelming U.S. Military power against a large nation with a large Soviet and Russian weapons supplied military as it was deemed the war in Afghanistan was too remote for the world media to properly cover the events.

I was in Afghanistan...196 of us directed U.S. Military airstrikes that killed ten's of thousands of the enemy in the first 2 weeks.

They were not getting good media coverage because it was all secret and too remote.

Then they decided to invade Iraq.

Why would you say Sassoon 'wrote a lot of crap'? She wrote a trilogy of "Princess" stories that all e3 were labeled 'true story-non fiction' and she was on the NYT's best seller list...... could you be jealous of this successful woman author who wrote about Saudi Arabia royalty? The very clan you claim you're on a first name basis with?

Ok, that's good. I don't deny anyone credit where credit is due....but this denial crap she throws out about the heinous treatment of Muslim women, then expects everyone to believe her, just b/c she's Margot, gets pretty boring after awhile. There are websites all over the internet about how those women suffer......

Jean Sassoon wrote about some of these women, her books are labeled 'non fiction-true story', yet Margot calls her books 'crap'.....

Margot was in Saudi Arabia for a long time and she was treated with respect.

The thing is...and I know why she was there and where she was located.....she was PROTECTED.....extremely protected and she saw all the GOOD that exists in Saudi Arabia.

I have seen both the god and the bad.

It's not that she doesn't understand....no one would unless you were someone like me.

But she is right when she say's that the vast majority of people in Saudi Arabia are good people and they are very staunch U.S. allies.

But there are some forces there that are breeding Terrorists.

That was what my JOB was all about and I got a great deal of help from the Saudi Government and Royalty as they are 100% against Terrorism.

Foreign Policy magazine ran an article titled "King Salman's Shady History" that details his connection and support to terrorist groups. This is not some obscure Saudi prince; this is the man that rules SA today.

    http://foreignpolicy.com/2015/01/27/king-salmans-shady-history-saudi-arabia-jihadi-ties/

Also, currently SA is supplying terrorist groups in Syria with TOW missiles. This can only be happening directly through the SA government. If ...... IF ....... SA is fighting terrorism, they are being damn selective about it and that is about as charitable spin that I can put on it.

where did you live? On a compound?

Friend of mine lived in Riyadh on a compound with Americans. All the walls were concrete and a foot thick. All the cars going in and out were checked for bombs.

    Yeah the royalty is.

They have billions from oil and the common people see none of it. The royalty wants to keep terrorism down because the terrorists will seize the oil and the royalty will be put to the sword for cooperating with americans.

Lol...So Trump gets into a twit brawl with the pampered prince.
Neither of them are fit to run a dog pound, and Americans do care about the character of the president who is their face to the world.

Yeah right, Saudi has one of the most extreme regimes on the planet, the extremists have been in control there for decades. And are only able to retain their brutal, authoritarian regime because of American support.

Sure he knows how it works.

That's why he is scaring people like you do badly he might just win.

Saudi Arabia is ruled by a barbaric and primitive royal family. So long as they are allowing the stoning of adulterers and imprisoning christians for passing out bibles their opinion is worthless.

Trump is a disgrace to not only America but to all those who believe in secularism, pluralism, tolerance, universal brotherhood. Trump disgraces America and who still supporting him are ignorant people.

lwaleed bin Talal, the "dopey prince" is worth twice as much as Trump (according to Trump's trumped up figures) or four times as much, depending on whether you believe Trump.

He's also one of the investors that bought the Plaza Hotel after Trump let it run down and unloaded it.
