All of our efforts to beat global warming are for naught. Green energy is not only cost ineffective it is like trying to create perpetual motion, getting something for nothing. Have you ever seen a windmill farm? Acres and acres of giant windmills just to power a small town. Solar farms are the same way. Wave produced electricity?! The electric car is not there yet. It does not service most of us as an economical form of transportation, considering mileage and battery replacement.
Until technology catches up we are stuck in a fossil fuel world. Even though we are a top producer of oil we rate way behind the middle east. We need to drill.
I don't care if it is in our national parks. We need to keep the price of oil down until the market realizes they cant turn a profit off high gas prices anymore. Maybe one day green energy will be efficient enough to carry us, but I don't think so. Recycling makes sense, although it takes me energy the end result saves raw product and keeps it out of the landfill. We will never find enough green energy to power the US. That is a fact. We are destined to ruin our world with oil burning because we must keep cost down and you cant make the world be congruent. The US and China produce most of the worlds greenhouse gas, why? Because we are big and we are greedy. Period.

Looks like we'll have to wait for renewable energy to be cost effective then. Let's see how Denmark and Germany works out in the future.

I have never heard recycling associated with global warming before...
