If you can't afford to have a kid, then don't have one.

Don't expect (or demand) that other people pay for your kid.

In fact, don't expect (or demand) that other people pay for any of your stuff.

You can have as many kids as you want. Just don't expect (or demand) that other people pay for them.

If you can't afford to have kids, then don't have them.

    It's really that simple.

Sure, and saying that over and over again has worked so well for the last 10,000 years ...... :roflol:

Just goes to show that some people aren't really pro life because having kids is all about life....

So now business owners will be looking for ways to avoid hiring women who they think might get pregnant soon.

    That's cool.

What does this have to do with being pro life?

This is another burden liberals are putting on businesses which will either cause them to move away or never move there to begin with. When you add up the taxes, the regulations, the minimum wage, and now this it becomes too burdensome for a business to rationally move to liberal areas like this.

Paid time off for a baby? That's what sick and vacation time is for. That's what FMLA is for. Why does your employer need to pay you to tend for YOUR baby? This is insane and I'm wondering if SF even has the power to actually demand this from employers.

Like they didn't before? Losing an employee for an extended period was already an inconvenience.

Why don't the socialists in SF assume full government control over all businesses and be done with it? This fascist de facto control doesn't cut it...

lol. why do republicans always see this as negative XD. The wealth of the country is too concentrated in LA and NY. So much so that they effectively have a different culture. Things like this cause wealth to spread thru the country as some companies leave and the rest thrive :)

    is good

So young people will find it even harder to find work in San Fransisco. Another California law sponsored by the Texas Economic Development folks

Yes its of course an inconvenience.

But its the businesses right to decide how they would handle that.

Good companies make an effort to keep good employees.

If you're a good employee working in a position that warrants maternity leave then you probably already would have it.

The role of government is not to make that decision for businesses.

Rainbow city is now demanding that anybody get paid time off for pregnancy and it will do more harm than good.

So now if your minimum wage employee has a kid you have to pay them to not work in addition to paying their replacement.

Then what happens when the first worker wants to come back, you fire the second?

    Great plan Democrats.

Just another example of liberals war on women. Why any employer in their right mind would hire a woman over a man is beyond me. I know, the men get time off too right? Difference is, most men would rather put in for OT over dealing with a post partum mother and a baby screaming 24/7 for 6 weeks. Kudos libs.

yes, don't hire women who have babies and expect paid time off.

in the olden days, women did not work and stayed home taking care of men as they ought too.

What do they do when the first worker comes back now? Do you think women aren't having kids now?

Any employee worth their weight will have a boss that doesn't mind at all that they take time off for a baby. They'll be happy for them and wish them well. This won't bode well for minimum wage illegals. How nice of all of us to pay for their illegal bastards. What a deal. Sneak in, get a job, get pregnant, free hospital stay, free education, and get paid not to work. Yeah, and we're such a terrible country. Go try that in Germany or Switzerland or Sweden as an illegal.

    The story:

"San Francisco passed a resolution to reward companies that hire gays and punish companies that hire Mormons or Muslims."

And they say Trump is bigoted against Muslims. But he only wants to keep non-American Muslims out. San Francisco wants them all gone! There are so many ways that so many white Democrat politicians enforce their bigoted and racist agendas, aren't there?

It will stop many of them that would ordinarily depend on jobs that SF supervisors have now flushed down the toilet by imposing ridiculous constraints on business owners there.

Apparently you think "pro life" means sitting there and dumbly nodding approval while the jobs you would of used to feed your children leave town forever for saner locales. That's extra special Bernie Sanders stupid!

Oh, pshaw.....the Family Leave Act did nothing to change the company I worked for. I retired but it's still going strong with all those young pups having babies....and taking time off to care for their babies....why do you hate the thought of parents being able to take care of their new babies???

The better question is why do you make up stances I've never taken and then argue against them (as if I had)?
Seems rather dishonest to me. I have nothing against time off for child care. Why do you have a grudge against business owners and make it impossible for them to employ those parents you claim to support?

It doesn't harm business owners......giving employees paid leave to attend to family matters has been around for a long time and no one goes out of business because of IT.

AND it's all over the country so even if a greed crazed business owner wanted to run , he won't escape it :)

I don't expect other people to do or not anything.

What I do expect, as a business owner, is that people like you stop telling me what I have to do.

A concept you can't seem you grasp.
