Sargon II (BCE 721-705) mentions the Arab tribes he defeated and settled in Samaria (the former Northern Kingdom of Israel):

"Upon a trust (-inspiring oracle given by) my lord Ashur, I crushed the tribes of Tamud, Ibadidi, Marsimanu, and Haiapa, the Arabs who live, far away, in the desert (and) who know neither overseers nor official(s) and who had not (yet) brought their tribute to any king. I deported their survivors and settled (them) in Samaria." (p.196, "Sargon II: The Fall of Samaria," James B. Pritchard, Editor. The Ancient Near East, An Anthology of Texts and Pictures. Princeton University Press. 1958. pbk)

    ... and blockade it...

... That Israel all but created in the first place...

Yeah, like you can aim at something with a Qassam built in your brother-in-law's basement and loaded with fertilizer... During this time Israel, paragon of democracy in the ME, evicted Palestinians from the West Bank to seize their territory, cut down centuries old Palestinians olive orchards and multiply checkpoints. What's to be so pissed about, these "illegal squatters"?

    :wall:

Qassams are a very light price to pay for Israeli crimes, if that's all they get. I seriously think thrown hammers would be more lethal. Anyway, like I said, bring them all in, arabs like jews. All of them criminals, let them get what they deserve. To see one, even just one piece of zionist murdering crap hang from a noose will be well worth a million qassams for the purpose of anger-quenching, if I were a Palestinian.

Heck, I am not a Palestinian and I would myself see with joy the apartheist zionist regime in place in Israel being wiped off the map. I think it requires more of a decent person than a necessarly arabic one, IMO, to aim for that most noble, humanistic goal. Oh. and before you throw the hasbara catechism at me, take notice that I not talking about Jews here - In fact, I think it is disgusting what Israel does in the Jews' name, and if I were one, I'd fight with about twice the energy. I don't believe that if Israel is annihilated as a political entity jews worldwide will be sucked into the sky. Israel need Jews to exist, not the other way around.

Look bud - even muppet-like Abbas get the extremist treatment from you. It's quite simple, really: If it represent the Palestinian people, they are terrorists extremists islamists etc etc - Now who are they. Israel created Hamas to fight Arafat, you see, because Arafat was a terrorist extremist islamist etc etc, as was anybody before or after him for ever and ever, since for zionists Palestinians are the mythical untermenschen to their own ubermenschen, and as such are intolerable goyim trash on the land that God gave the Khazars.

Dude. Your spin is lame. It's simple. Israel withdraws from Gaza, Palestinians elect hamas and start bombing Israeli border towns - acts of war, war crimes. Blockade was after that and was a legitimate military response to what you recognized as Palestinian war of aggression against Israel. Your red herrings, strawmen, conspiracies and nonsense irrelevant in the context of the discussion are ignored. Sorry but you are not very good at deflection and diversion.

Blumenthal found some protesting Trump and asked for their reaction to some quotes from Netanyahu claiming they were from Trump. They were enraged...until they found who they really were from. They are going by what would be expected of people who have experienced the persecution they have by opposing Trump but somehow are blind sighted with Israel.

and yet a British Colonel or General recently when being interviewed concerning the 2014 massacre in Gaza, said when asked the usual as to what Britain would do if faced with the situation Israel faces from Gaza that we would react very differently. He said it is clear that Israel does not see Gaza as any kind of major threat due to the reality that she has built a railway to the areas most under attack and is encouraging people to go and live there - no Government he said would do that if they believed it would put their people in danger and of course with the Iron Dome and the ineffectiveness of rockets from Gaza what Israel faces from Gaza is more a nuisance than anything else. In such a case, he said there is absolutely no way that Britain would go in with an attack that Israel did in 2014 completely destroying Gaza's infrastructure, her schools, her hospitals, her mosques, her water and energy supplies. Absolutely none. There is no military reason for this. Rather, he said the reason appears to be to try demonise the Palestinians as a danger to them when that clearly is not the case. The UK's response he said would be to keep an eye on it but in no way to go in for military intervention destroying the total infrastructure and killing and maiming thousands of women and children. He further said having looked at what happened this invasion must have been planned at least several weeks before it took place and hence was in no way for the reasons given. Hamas but not Israel had kept the 2012 cease fire until an onslaught on several areas the night before they could hold off no longer and responded giving Israel what it needed to claim it was 'just defence'

Alright, not racist then. Do you think its maybe just a little bit bigoted and sectarian then?

When do mean let its guard down Mr Swedish Guy? Id like to know when and in what circumstance you think this is.

It seems you would like to characterise the Israeli palestinian history as one where Israeli trust has been repeatedly betrayed. Can you explain this version of history please?

I wouldn't mind seeing UN peacekeepers btw, but that of course means the two parties could agree to something in the first place.

They already do, its worked very well.

Not war of aggression - war of resistance.

    What you would do yourself.

The time is upon us to liberate the Palestinians from their IslamoTerror. Survivors will be sent back home to Jordan.

Palesterrorists must and will be hunted down and liberated. In this crucial war Palesto-Collateral damage does not, to be frank, matter. The name of the game is to save innocent Jewish lives from the extremist and fanatical Palestinians who occupy the Jewish State of Israel.

If the Palesto-Occupiers wish to continue praying, a good starting point would be to carefully dismantle the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem and send it, brick by brick, to Iran, the chief financier of IslamoTerror... or maybe back home to Jordan.

Rather than the people legitimising the terrorists, I think it is the terrorists which delegitimise the people..

But okay.. Doesn't this mean that they're legally at war? Isn't it Israel's right to defend themselves then? Has there been a peace treaty? Does hamas even want to end the war (without removing Israel)?
Sectarian?? I'm not even religious, and the closet thing would be christian, so why would I care about what goes on between jews and muslims?...

No, not bigoted either. I base what I say on facts. I am openminded.
Well, there is this big wall between israel and palestine isn't there? Before it was up, there were lots of attacks, but after it went up attacks have been much fewer. Clearly, the wall is needed. That's what I mean.
Good. Arab autonomous regions within Israel is a good solution.

Indeed. But the border at the Jordan river is also indefensible. So now you want Jordan too? Iraq maybe?

Very interesting indeed, got to wonder why so many Jews hold Israel to one standard, and the West to a different standard?

I sure as (*)(*)(*)(*) wouldn't try to kill innocent civilians with rockets or suicide bombs!

Are you saying you would? Says a lot about you doesn't it? Making excuses for terrorism and barbarism.. That's disgusting. Arabs aren't the only people who've been oppressed in history you know, but they are the most enthusiastic users of terrorism. Says a lot about them as well.

I think a lot of reasons, not least how they are brought up. It takes a lot to undo the conditioning you are given in childhood. At the same time from what I hear lots of young American Jews have very little interest in Israel, she is losing Reform Jews and of course loads of others who get properly informed though I think it can be painful recognising the situation. I suspect some hide their eyes to what is going on there just like America in general does. Certainly my reading seems to be suggesting that not the elite but a lot of ordinary American Jews are beginning to feel uncomfortable with what is going on in Israel but still feel disloyal not to support her. This too will change. :) In a UK poll, late last year I think, 24% of Jews support some form of sanction towards Israel and in the under 30's that is 40% but that does not mean that most of them do not still want to support her, they just want her to survive in a way they can continue to support.

No I recommend both sides start acting like neighbors instead of enemies. Both sides need to recognize they should be there and then combine their governments into one unified nation of equal partners. But instead both sides have taken a hard line and as such the inevitable will happen. In the end one or the other will be pushed out of the area. Most likely it will be the Palestinians.

I dont believe I have been supportive of anything. All I am pointing out is the way things have worked in the past. This situation is not a new occurrence in the history of mankind. It has been repeated over and over again.

As to my nation I dont see the Hispanic migrants as invaders. But then again I live in a rural state and our economy would literally collapse without them. There is a lot of talk about how horrible illegal immigration is for America but no one has ever offered a solution to combat the negative effects stopping it would have on our agricultural sector. My solution would be a much more lenient migrant visa program for the seasonal worker. But the folks in Washington lack the political will to look at it seriously.

It supports that Jews are more indigenous . Arabs are not from Palestine but from Arabia. The irony here is both are Semitic peoples.

The Jews of Palestine were the only ones called Palestinians back then. I quoted a PLO leader admitting the name is made up for political purposes. We here are called Americans but we are not any more American than someone from Canada or Brazil. We are not Americans we just took the name.

Making the US war criminals. Good thing history is written by the winners or we would have been in trouble after WW2
