He takes credit for that "decades old book" that you dismiss, and he touts it at every single public appearance, which makes your point a bit ridiculous (or the con man candidate ridiculous, take your pick).

Trump inherited his real estate empire. It isn't all that big, certainly not in line with his exaggerations. Almost no one in banking or real estate circles thinks Trump is even close to having the net worth he claims.

It's just another in the long catalog of false claims he routinely makes. His net worth makes him rich, but none of his peers believe he's anywhere near as rich as he claims to be. (which is why you'll never see his tax returns). Trump Steaks are a fraud. The ones he produced during the campaign came from a butcher in Atlanta. He did not even make the honor roll at Wharton, despite constantly claiming to have finished at the top of his class. He claims to have raised six million dollars for veterans in February, yet no veterans organization ever got a dime until the Washington Post exposed the fact two weeks ago. Then a check for one million was rushed out to one group.

There is little point in discussing Trump policies, as all are subject to change without notice (often in the same event, and sometimes in the same sentence). He was for universal single payer health care, before he adopted the usual catalog of GOP bromides. His tax "plan" was ridculed by experts on arrival. It's another tax cut for the wealthy financed with more borrowed money, again the usual GOP plan. No one is going to build a wall, and Mexico certainly isn't going to pay for it. He was for and against guns in schools in the same sentence.

All this is riduculous nonsense. He will tell any audience the first thing that comes into his head if he thinks that's what they want to hear. Any BS will do.

 

What recovery there is has happened because of the GOP. And it's slow because of all the job killing crap that the Reps failed to roll back.
