Every race, religion, ethnic group, or trade/profession, will develop their own reputation. While that reputation does not apply to everyone it is still the perception. And perception becomes reality. It's out there and it started somewhere -- Polish are dumb, Italians can sing, Germans make good mechanics, Irish are drunks, Blacks are lazy, Jews are money grubbers, Canadians are cheap, blonds are dumb, Spanish are lovers, on and on. The OP is letting the Blacks know they are no longer slaves. They have the opportunity to go forth and prosper. Many do, but the ones who do not should not blame others for their problems. I don't think you understand what I am saying. All other things being equal a white man will usually advance while a black man will not. This is usually because a white man is in charge of promoting employees. Even if the man is not conscious of it he tends to promote his own kind.
