Trump Leads Clinton by 6 (8/19/2016)

The Daily Wire is most definitely right wing, started by editor in chief Ben Shapiro who has been quite happily trashing his ex boss, Steve Bannon, all over the tube in the past couple of days. Actually, he has provided new insight into the new man at the head of Trump's campaign and Shapiro doesn't seem to care for Bannon a whole lot. The Trump campaign (I suppose you could call it a campaign) just got a lot more interesting to watch, should be an interesting time up to the general election.

 

You nailed it again gorn. This one is over. Democrats can stay home.

 

And yet 4 days ago this same outfit (The Daily Wire) says Trump hasn't got a chance in hell of winning in November.

Young Ben is a classic example of the many, many Republicans and/or conservatives who have a problem with the nominee - they simply cannot vote for a clown like Trump. It's interesting to watch the dynamics........

Expected, given how Trump has flailed and failed all week, with the whole country laughing at his obvious bad photo op. Meanwhile, Clinton has steadily kept doing what she does best, which is win.

Oh, perhaps you should look at the LA Times poll. He's got 14.6% of the black vote already. It's a statistical tie.

Actually Ms. Clinton is fine. Additionally Trump is polling at an abysmal 2% of the African American vote, far less than the 4% of McCain and <7% of McCain. It's so bad Trump is registering 0% in Ohio & Penn.

 

Well, someone is wrong I guess. 14.6% is way different than 0%. Um. Did you see the graph? Maybe Trump won over African Americans this week with his speeches appealing for their votes. Wouldn't that be a good thing? For them to shop around and get more from their politicians than the poverty, crime, poor graduation rates, high rates of single motherhood that they have gotten from failed Democratic Party policies? Why not let them try something different? What do they have to lose? Democrats don't own black people. They can vote the way they want. They don't have to do what the Democrats tell them to do. They are real people and deserve a better life and better opportunity. That is what Trump is promising them. Why shouldn't they give him a chance? Why shouldn't they give Republicans a chance?

 

Well of course someone is wrong, Trump is polling at 0% in Ohio % Penn. Additionally, Trump and the Republicans have done NOTHING to convince any minority group to support them....indeed, they have reinforced why minorities have chosen to support the Democrats. Seriously, barring any calamity, the election is over....

 

And what exactly is that they did to reinforce why minorities not to support them? What have the democrats done that minorities should support them?

Open borders hurt African Americans and Latinos by taking their jobs and driving down their wages the same as it does for any other American. So why would anyone vote for the open borders illegal immigration policies of the democrats? Why should anyone want the crime and the drugs that come with open borders? How is that good for minorities? Often, minorities are the victims of these crimes by illegal aliens. We had a young Mexican American girl killed on the freeway not far from my house by an illegal alien driving drunk on the wrong side of the freeway.

So why shouldn't Trump appeal to blacks and Latinos? What does he have to lose? What do they have to lose? The democrats have devastated their communities with poverty, unemployment and high crime. What else do democrats have to offer but more of the same? What is the democrat solution to these problems?

PS I won't be surprised if I don't get an answer since not one democrat or liberal or Hillary cult-of-personality supporter has yet.

It is a word-press blog that first started to exist on August 11, 2016 and claims polls that were never taken.

There is no Pollster called USDW. There is no accreditation listed. This link to the USDW poll is circular, it just takes you back to the home page.

A google search brings up absolutely NOTHING except the blog itself:

That's good for Trump, he is out campaigning hard. I hope he sticks to his policies and how he plans to change this country for the better. We need a great leader, democratic or republican, doesn't matter to me.

Actually, it's a fake put up by a right wing blogger from Southern California named Ben Shapiro. He was most recently the editor of Breitbart, but resigned when he chose to throw his own employee under the bus when she complained about being shoved by Lewandowski.

Now, he's making stuff up under a new monniker.

He doesn't have much good to say about Trump's new Steve Bannon. It is entertaining thought, and revealing about the role the Mercer family has taken in the Trump campaign.

It really is pathetic the way right wingers take fake polls from sites they never heard of at face value.

 

GoDaddy WhoIs search shows that the domain was registered by proxy on 8/3/16.

The website only links to itself and gives no information about the credentials of those who are creating the surveys or their methodology.

Needless to say when something like this pops up out of nowhere with a partisan bias it is probably the work of someone with a Trumpian agenda.

 

This might be an attempt to discredit Shapiro because the URL for the Daily Wire is "http://www.dailywire.com/" whereas the fake polling site is "https://usdailywire.com/".

There is no link on the Daily Wire website to the U.S. Daily Wire website and vice versa.

Summary:

The LA Times poll asks people about their vote for president in 2012, and then selects so their sample proportionally matches the 2012 results of 51-47. It is the only poll out there currently using that method.

That's a problem because people don't accurately report who they voted for. People will tend to recall that they voted with the winner. Thus, a sample of people will report they voted for Obama over Romney by, say, 58-40, even though the results were 51-47.

That means some people who actually voted for Romney are being classified as Obama voters, which means the poll is oversampling Republicans, which skews the results to favor Trump.

 

He can show them how he scammed money out of hopeful entrepreneurs via Trump University. He can show them how easy it is to run a phony campaign to garner free publicity to prepare for the next doomed to bankruptcy business venture and writing it off. He can show them how to stiff small business owners out of their money and he can show them how to get away with not releasing his tax returns so that people are not privy to the stuff that shows what a braggart con man he actually is.
