Is it possible that blacks are intelligent and educated enough to make a political choice on their own volition, without a party telling them how to vote? Or can they only do as they are told or paid to do?

I was afraid someone would answer the question the way you did. I'm not sure you see the implications of your answer, but I feel certain that black voters would and it is part of the reason many black voters reject what the Republican party offers.

 

Trumps brutal honesty is not necessarily racist, many blacks are oppressed and they're being treated like slaves in the poor communities.

the Republican party calls it a welfare plantation, and indeed it is when they outsource jobs and expect the uneducated and unskilled to be become educated, and compete with the rest of society.

some people want to live a simple life laboring at unskilled jobs that don't require educations to be free, and shouldn't be forced into doing things they don't want to do to satisfy someone else's morals.

 

I don't really have anything to say about Trump in this situation. However, after the 2012 election, the Republican party did a study, an autopsy, that had several recommendations on how to not lose the next and subsequent elections. Bringing new people into the party, including minorities, was one of the top suggestions. Alienating minorities by name calling and stereotyping, especially in a negative light, isn't likely to attract those people to the party. Not only is the Republican party not bringing in new people to the party, especially minorities, it seems to be purposefully pushing them away.

I think our country needs at least two strong parties to keep a check on each other and force legislation to be negotiated so that many ideas on the subject are heard and all options are on the table. That doesn't happen when one party has control.

Sorry, but many former and current Republicans would like nothing better than to do away with the Civil Rights Act. Just ask Rand Paul, who said as much on national TV.

Of course, the conservative Robert's court has already gutted the Voting Rights Act, opening the door to all sorts of ALEC led voter supression initiatives, most of which have been proposed on the Dixiecrat states.
