A protest is a lawful assembly. If a law is broken whilst protesting then there are legal remedies in place to deal with that. No rights are being trampled on by simply protesting. "Liberal scum". Incorrect. The law is the law. We have due process that decides who is guilty and who isn't.

Our nation was founded on the right to protest our government. The republicans just spent a solid eight years protesting every single thing they could find to protest and some they made up. They cost our nation billions and have been the cry babiest group known to man.
Those protesters who destroyed property should be made to pay for the property and given 90 days to think about it and community service.

I like the law of the land. Until that's changed to a different law, it should be enforced. Having a law that nobody pays attention to is useless.
That doesn't mean I agree with all laws, but I sure as hell am not gonna try to challenge them by breaking that law blatantly. It usually only reinforces the need for said law.

 

Dislike of violent criminals. It's called, "Being Civilized", if you can't cut it off to prison with you.
