You claim Trump is de-funding the safety nets; your sources says their cutting funds.

    Which is it?

True, the left wing snowflakes are already creating violence over being butthurt.

It's time to remind them that "those people" will get some of the goodies if the programs are continued. So the programs must be eliminated...

Haven't clicked on those msn links yet. If I do, be honest OP, am I going to find these aren't real cuts but merely slowing the growth rate?

Things will change. But how and to what extent? So does it mean that everyone on medicaid will lose benefits, or just the able bodied who will be required to work? And does that also mean that the states will pick up the cost of medicaid for the elderly poor?

Women raising an army of babies??? That kind of welfare hasn't been a reality for some time. But I can't tell if the video is serious. That part at the end about saving tax dollars for corporate welfare instead must be tongue in cheek.

Anyway poverty is a growing problem as money to spend on anti-poverty programs has been drying up for a decade and we don't have the prosperity we did in the 1990s.

Thanks OP, not being sarcastic, but still couldn't say whether that's an actual cut or a rate of increase cap. If Medicaid was growing by > $80 billion a year, for example, that would not be an actual cut. I don't know.

Eh, will go and look for a better source...oki

    https://www.statnews.com/2017/03/23/medicaid-cuts-trump/

OK, so what this is is a rollback of Obamacare Medicaid expansions, so is this really a Medicaid cut, or just part and parcel of repealing and replacing Obamacare?

This kind of reminds me of the "Bush Tax Cuts" some of which were actually rollbacks of Clinton tax increases under 1993 OBRA.

I'm gonna go ahead and claim it's fake news to call the proposals "Medicaid cuts." If anyone disagrees, we can argue the point. I don't think its reasonable to consider massive ACA boosts to Medicaid as part of the core program. If ACA weren't so crappy, pork-laden and full of grafty overreach like dramatically increasing Medicaid, Trump might not have won. Food for thought.

Well to be completely honest, the first article talks about Medicaid and SNAP to be set up so that the states can set up stringent rules and make the cuts.

The second article is about non-poor, ordinary people being upset by Republicans supporting Trump and healthcare rules like increase in cost for pre-existing conditions and increases for the elderly.

So basically a lot of people are going to be upset, but for different reasons.
