But there is a way for undocumented immigrants to gain citizenship. You make a good point when it comes to choosing who stays and most people would agree that he should be low on the list, but shouldn't we be able to make that choice before they get here; not after we find out the hard way if they are good or bad people?

    We already have that policy.

    It's called legal immigration.

Still waiting on your proof of this.

Post a quote. It shouldn't be hard to find as you were so quick to point out what I said.

From the article in the OP:

"The U.S. government has conceded that Ortiz has good moral character, Reinhardt wrote. The immigrant has two “apparent” convictions for driving under the influence — the most recent 14 years ago — but no other history of crime."

He has DUI's so he IS a criminal. And he's had two removal orders. Case closed.

That is just sad. Sad, heartless and wrong.

I'm all for stopping the massive inflow of illegal immigrants. Still though, if someone makes it here and builds an honest crime free life for themselves then just leave them alone. Catch them at the border or within a year or two of them arriving. Don't wait until they create a family and build an honest life and then throw them out. That's just heartless and it's against everything this country was founded on.

So in reality what we have here is Trump Derangement Syndrome. Who was President in 2011? Who was President in November 2016?

Are you suggesting that brown people are no longer willing to migrate to America? Because last time I checked (very recently), there was a significant increase in people coming from India and Asia. And they migrate legally. Please explain.

Khan, the most evil villain of Star Trek, most definitely should not be allowed into the USA and deported if he sneaks in.

The judge pre-announced decisions and made political statements even before any trial and had private (ex parte) communications with the plaintiff's attorneys. He should have removed from the bench for doing so.

It's heartless. No honest hard working illegal Mexican immigrant has ever done anything to make my life difficult.

In another thread someone linked some statistics. Seems Trump is still behind Obama's pace when it comes to deporting illegals. Obama was known as the "deporter in chief."
Does anyone know if Obama deported illegals that had no criminal record? Did he break up families too?

You need to look a bit more in that Judge. There is a hell of a lot more about that Judge then what you're trying to sell.

Of course, if you remove understanding, compassion, common decency, ethics, and the moral stance of the vast majority of Americans from the equation, you can cheer at a federal bureaucracy that prioritizes hunting down every long-term, law-abiding, hard-working asset respected by his community, tear a loving family apart, and reject the taxes he pays. Being simple makes it a lead pipe cinch.

How compassionate was it to allow him to break the law for so long? Don't like the law? Contact your congress critter.

Funny how the left is all upset about family values all of a sudden.

The nation has criminals aplenty. This respected family man was never one of them. The administration of "the law" can be arbitrary and capricious. This bureaucratic zealotry is morally repugnant.
