Another free speech rally tomorrow in Boston, Antifa is on the move

And it's possible that they are actually PETA members who oppose hunting. And it's possible that they are actually white supremacists who are just having some fun pretending they are anti-bigotry. We can keep at this all day, Jimmy. But the reality is they didn't organize their rally under the Antifa name, they didn't call for violence as Antifa does, they didn't mask their identities as Antifa members do. It was nothing but a benign show of support for their cause, whatever it may happen to be.

There was a thread yesterday about Russian bots being behind a thread of Twitter or Facebook posts. Russians saw how easy it was to play mind games here, now every other country on the planet has the blueprint. It's only going to get worse, not better.

I said Antifa organizes events under anonymity. I said Antifa participants cover their faces and shield their identities. The OP post a link to their advertisement about their counter-protest and decided they were Antifa with exactly zero proof. You jumped in and also decided they were with Antifa with exactly zero proof.

You have to provide evidence that the two organizers of their event are with Antifa, and did it because they wanted Antifa-type violence. You have to provide evidence that they have a history of doing that. You can't, because they don't. They are humanitarians, and that is all anyone knows about them.

 

My response wasn't directed at you, Aphotic - it was addressed at someone (Joe) who appears to be implying that violence is an acceptable response to speech he doesn't like.

Like myself, you condemned the violent elements on both sides of the barricades in Charlottesville and I recognize and respect you for that. We disagree on many things but freedom of speech is not one of them.
