Conservatives were very mad at the Antifa protests and their violent tactics.

They were mostly right.

Now, NFL, NBA, MLB players are protesting police brutality and other issues by PEACEFULLY kneeling while the national anthem is sung.

How do Conservatives react to these PEACEFUL & NON-VIOLENT actions?

they call for the players to be fired.

they call the players racist slurs.

they even call for those players to be murdered.



begs the question: is it ok for non-Conservatives to protest anything, in any way???

Yes it is. Not only that, I believe the "issue" is completely bogus; anyone who believes the police are targeting people because they're black are simply not looking at the facts.

I like to point out the fact that the total number of black people killed by police nationwide in 2016 is but a third of the number of black people killed by other black people in the city of Chicago in 2016. If black lives matter, shouldn't we be hearing about that? But no, that doesn't fit with the narrative of those on the left, so back to our regularly scheduled program...

When someone's freedom of speech gets in the way of my enjoying the product a company is putting out, I reserve the right to not support that company. In this case, the product is football, and the company is the NFL. No need to get into the question of patriotism or free speech or protesters or racism. We should just keep things simple and to the point...

You absolutely right OP, it is certainly an injustice to redistribute millions of dollars from football fans to millionaire cry baby football players.

 

Isn't it? Compare the volume of conservative protests to Liberal protests and get back to us. Didn't a rapper just get shot yesterday? Never mind, black on black crime...who gives a ****. No need to kneel over that. Better to kneel over an small number of killings and YES, in the grand scheme, VERY, VERY small, compared to plenty of other murder numbers. If cops killing "innocent" black people is an epidemic, what are blacks killing other blacks? NFL players beating their spouses or committing other heinous crimes? We're talking a % of a % "INNOCENT" black people getting killed by police. A .10 of a percent. When you get into your car and worry about a cop shooting you, you should be FAR more concerned with someone T-boning you and killing you at a stop light.

Nobody is silencing them. Keep on kneeling. See if that actually accomplishes anything.

 

Getting tired of all the pathetic & ignorant platitudes about "insulting Veterans". They can speak for themselves and most understand what Freedom actually means.

 

Freedom means getting paid millions to play a game. Be HAPPY you have the freedom to do that.

 

Our Veterans fought and died for all Americans to have the right to air their political views without persecution.
