The problem is, they are trying to be a presence in EVERY state lately. There's something to be said that Amazon has become a monopoly of sorts.

 

ALL the big tech companies have antitrust issues... provided we ever have an administration that will do something about it instead of passing around the brown paper bag in exchange for suspending some of the only good regulations our rotten federal government has ever created the way the Clintons and Obama did. Amazon is no exception.

LW makes thread about antitrust issues... and includes no adult indicia of discussion about antitrust laws or issues whatsoever. Just another day on PF.

Public streets are generally local. They aren't a Federal monopoly. It doesn't surprise me that a statist would throw out such ridiculous red herring, though. After all, how can it be possible for anything to happen without your God, the State?

if you lived where I live, you'd probably find toll roads to be better, too. The highest taxed state in the US has most of the worst roads because your benevolent and wise politicians prefer to spend money on boondoggles and political grandstands than on infrastructure. But keep up that blind faith that eventually you'll elect the right ruler.

No, I don't want to pay sales tax. And yes, Amazon WAS making money by not charging sales tax. Simple: They made more sales before they started charging tax. I immediately took my business back to Ebay, which has many of the same vendors. Amazon used to be the first place I looked when wanting to buy something. I haven't bought a single thing off Amazon since they implemented tax.
