As the saying goes, “a broken clock is right twice a day.” Liberal media outlets, such as the New York Times and Bloomberg are blaming Senate Democrats for the government shutdown.

I think Schumer's media masters are miffed at him for making the Democrat stance of favoring imported voters SO OBVIOUS. This lie is too big for even them to fully cover it up. Not that they won't try.
Could be the roaches are scattering now that the light is on to their treasonous actions.
Just goes to show all of America that Democrats have No Morals, No Standards, No Values and definitely No Ethics. They Hate America, it's Citizens all. Their interests lie in the voters they can import and their fundamental transformation of America into their ideological Utopian Marxist Socialist paradise.
Schumer is now giving a press conference and calling it a 'Trump shutdown'. Even the #Never Trump media can't cover for for him and his lemming Senators.
Dan Bongino summed the Democrats up perfectly with this tweet:

Wahhh! We control the government, and we still can't get anything done! Dumb Democrats! Wahhh!!!!!

 

Let's explore some logic shall We? If Republicans controlled as completely as you suggest the govt wouldn't have shut down. Wow no wonder the Dems went down in flames in the last election.

 

Just a matter of historical fact here. The last shutdown was blamed on Republicans as well occurring in late 2013.

A year later republicans GAINED 9 SENATE SEATS in 2014. Dems will never learn. You would think they would get a clue after losing elections since 2010, or at least do some self-examination of what they are doing wrong. LOL

Yup--------------this time most of the media is calling it the Schumer shutdown.

 

We will see how this pans out. It is a little early to call victory for either side. Who knows, owning the blame in this case might help the dems if it shows they are fighting for the people. Beware this ownership thing might be a battle cry. You don't want that getting dems out to vote because you will lose.

 

Ok what are you referring to most of the media? Is that what faux news 's calling it, or does CNN and MSNBC call it that? Not that they really matter for the pitiful amount of viewers they get.

It is a Democrat talking point that Republicans are in complete control, but in reality it takes 60 votes to pass any legislation in the Senate. The GOP only has 51 votes, calling for some give-and-take to occur in order for any budget to be passed.

So, unless you can show us 9 democrats who voted for the budget, it was the democrats who shut down the government, pure and simple.

 

Then why not include Democrats in the discussion and treat them as equal players?

Return to the proposal presented to the President and use that as a basis for discussion. The problem with many posters on this subject is that they really don't want to solve the problem; they want their own way.

 

The fool Schumer thot the MSM would back him up but they are not.

 

Interesting tactic, calling the person you need to help solve the problem a fool.

 

Schumer is usually smiling when on camera but lately he looks grim. He knows he is being blamed and the MSM is not supporting him, this time. The dems will lose this battle.

 

The fact is that the numbers are the final word here. Republicans currently have everything they need to pass what ever they please. The fact that they can't means there is dissent within the Republican party.

Don't blame democrats because the dopes you elected can't get their **** together.

 

They were supposed to shut the govt down and screw us...its just that as all leftists know you cant do it when it obviously is squarely dems fault. In this case, illegals come before Americans is what the dems hilariously thought (much like hillary) would sit right with Americans.

Funny isn't it, Trump went from deporting all illegal aliens to having empathy for the "Dreamers" and is willing to work something to allow them a path to citizenship. Democrats want the whole enchilada, total amnesty without any restrictions.

The Senate rules require a two thirds vote unless they rule to use majority vote. It's 'Robert's Rules of Order' that are followed.

 

Empathy, if he has it, is not a solution if he is willing to do as you say why has he refused to negotiate?
The Democrats are having trouble trusting him, He said bring me a bill and I will sign it he was brought a bipartisan proposal and he shot it down. It was inferred when we last had this problem with a continuing resolution that if one were passed it would provide time to discuss DACA and other immigration issues.
The continuing resolution was passed, the discussion has not taken place.

 

Here's the hypocrite himself talking in 2013 about how the Dems could shut down the govt over immigration but it would cause govt chaos.

 

Another thing that is trending right now is that the Dems think Americans are deplorables but illegal immigrants are Dreamers. Own that dems...own it.
