You wonder why the View remains on TV

Whoopie was so good in Star Trek. Now that no one else is writing her lines, she doesn't appear to be as intelligent.

I've always heard newspapers and TV news shows are written at the fourth grade level. Daytime TV must be a couple grades below that.

 

One has to wonder, at the same time, why Hannity is still on tv.

Is it to spew conspiracy theories about Dems that have been debunked (i.e. Obama wiretapping), parrot White House talking points, push a conservative agenda, you know to all the Depends-wearing, gun loving, bible bashing Trump folk out there who are working to get their dentures out for the night. The View makes Hannity look like Breibart, just on TV.

 

What about what Behar said was incorrect? If you think Jesus is magically speaking to you in your bedroom, you are hearing voices. You are seeing things. That is a mental illness. What should we do? Dismiss schizophrenia as a mental illness as long as one is Christian now? Hearing voices can also be a form of paranoia.

 

I'm not one to attack people for their religious beliefs. I think that is a sign of an intolerant and small minded person.

 

I occasionally have The View on. I'm retired, there's nothing much on daytime TV (no cable here), and I'm usually quilting or sewing or doing something that's more fun than finding the remote and changing channels.

The utter stupidity of the View women is unchallenged and indisputable. Yes, Joy is unbearable, but the award for total and complete stupidity goes to Suny Hostin. That chick is without merit and is nothing more than a scourge on humanity. Yes, she's worse than Whoopie and Joy. You expect stupid from Whoopie and she doesn't disappoint. You expect hate from Joy and she doesn't disappoint. But Suny...there's no excuse for that kind of idiot.

I like to listen to Mark Levin for comedic value. He whines like a little girl.

 

I think "speaks to me" is not always meant in the sense of hearing voices. I am not religious, but I have heard people say that the stories in the Bible "speak" to them. Many of the things Eric Hoffer wrote "speak" to me.

 

Agreed. I've known a lot of religious people in my time, and I've heard them say that "God spoke to me" many times, and they never meant that they actually heard an actual voice.
