Shows you how unqualified were Trump and Clinton, and how unqualified and unready Americans were to make a good choice.
Yes and no. We can look at Trump and Clinton and declare them "unqualified", albeit for different reasons. But on the other hand, we saw a revolt in the Republican party that was virtually unprecedented in modern times which I believe showed that Americans are not totally apathetic and that they will not necessarily be led around like a mule. The Dems also had a bit of a revolt as well. If you combine Trump's support with Bernie Sanders' support, it amounts to a lot of activism and a giant "F you" to the established order. And while Trump and Sanders are miles apart on policy, their combined candidacies sent an unmistakable message to Washington that "the people" are back, and Washington has to actually listen to us. It is interesting to me when I notice how uneasy that makes people. There are a lot of people who really do not want change. They are comfortable with a distant and unapproachable Washington that just sort of does its own thing and protects the status quo.
My take on the '16 election is that political capitalism is dead in America. I suspected as much at the end of the Bush administration when he gave his 'we need to redefine capitalism' and the total collapse of the global economy speech but I hadn't been sure if that sort of thinking had gone mainstream before Sanders and Trump came along. The division is no longer liberal vs. conservative but socialist vs. fascist. We see the same development in European politics. Last time this happened the world was bombed back to the stone age and ended in a nuclear war. Hopefully things work out less painful this time.
Taking guns before due process is not necessarily a 2nd amendment violation. Any law would be extremely difficult to write. It is as dangerous ground as The Patriot Act. I could possibly support it but only if the due process proceedings MUST take place within a few days of the seizure, not weeks or months, and the government would have a high burden of proof. The President likes to throw out ideas; remember "I'll sign any immigration/DACA package that Congress passes"? There is no cause for alarm here. This idea isn't going anywhere.
I still support President trump although I have disagreements with him, as I had disagreements with other POTUS that I supported. How President Trump missed up is/was by him choosing cabinet members who are entrenched (part of the Deep State). In order to truly clean the swamp, that has become American politics, is by choosing true outsiders (people who have no connection with the entrenched insiders).
Hardly. They were downright giddy prior (1 Dem congresswoman actually jumping up and down, hands to face, giggling). Then Pence says control =/= ban to calm things down and Trump responds with "I don't care about their rights, take all the guns and worry about due process later." NOBODY in the mainstream calls for that, even the most ardent gun control advocate doesn't have a problem with grandma having a purse sized peashooter to fight off muggers. The only jaw not on the floor was Trump's as he blabered on oblivious to what he'd just done.
Proof! It is nice to perform acts of libel (not really) and without proof this is just rumor, gossip and conjecture.
I need only think of what sort of liberal clowns Hillary would be putting on the bench, and I remember why I voted for Trump, that hasn't changed and won't. Trump says lots of things, I care only about what gets done. Actually the more outrageous things Trump says the better, 99% of it will never amount to anything, except to get the media focused on something irrelevant.
I don't let other people make that decision for me, especially not someone like you! I have been smoking marijuana for over 40 years. Butt out!
It a good thing for you lying isn't a ban- able offence because everything you said about Hillary Clinton is a bald-faced lie!
Sure, I can see how it's helped you. Since it affects my life, if I have to breathe your drug's smoke, be concerned when I drive, work, or as in this, a nasty post from a rude person who thinks marijuana hasn't harmed his/her brain, I think I'll stick around. My opinions are as good, or in this case, after smoking for 40 years, probably better than yours.
"A bald-faced lie"? Did I hit one of your nerves? Do you lie in bed most of the day, eating chocolates and trying to get your countrymen to go to war with Russia and Iran and North Korea? Ahhhhh! Hillary! Who is the bold-faced liar? I'll tell you who:
Drop by and I'll let you hit my bong. It was made in Amsterdam. I have some weed I bought in Denver, you'll love it. Maybe then you won't be so cranky!
A great motivated response! You have a problem with Truth Serum too? Ah! That explains it! Drug-induced deductions.
