I heard he bought it at the local 7/11 from a 10 year old kid.

Quite an absurd response. As I was saying .... I care more than most .... and Americans are not willing to plug the holes in the roof. They'd rather keep shooting even more holes in it instead. You just proved my point.

It is not an absurd response. It is an example of why your beliefs dont work. You want to make hyperbolic analogies, I give you a real world example that prohibition does not work when there are great resources.

    Exactly.

What's stopping a lunatic teacher from going home, getting their potentially illegally acquired weapon of choice, then bringing it in and attacking students?

    A "gun free zone" sign.

I wonder if those signs stop machete and hammer attacks.

You say "Duh" like you're smart or something. Ironic, to say the least, following your initial comment... I'd think you were being sarcastic if I didn't know your post history.

Indeed. If my gun is on my desk, the magazine is in my pocket and the slide is locked back.

Both of them are also competent in handling them as well.

Probably 5 tardy ones that scattered after the first gunshot.

What, that the shooter managed to injure two people and he will be one of the most famous people in all of the US for a couple of weeks?

Oh yes, that'll dissuade anyone from trying anything like that ever again!

Wait, give kids access to guns? You're right, **** like this will stop; give it a week and there won't be any children left in school to be shot by anyone.

What kind of shithole country (to coin a phrase) is the US if not having regular school shootings is just a silly utopia that's as likely as getting to ride a unicorn?!

Don't need a video. Latest reports are that he fired two bullets in total, one bullet at his ex, one bullet in committing suicide and the latest report implies that the officer shot the 14 year old bystander.

I'm sure they'd pop their self in the forehead with the barrel on first shot or get knocked over... One of the two would happen for sure.

    Let me illustrate.

Lets face it, a liberal's best defense when shots are fired on a playground, is to run...

you can fire a semi automatic hand gun as quick as an AR-15 and the bullet of a hand gun unless it is a .22 is larger

Those are kind of funny, but also, not. I know women who shoot a 9 mm luger very well. Some, I would not want to have one. Honestly, I think it would be fairly easy to find statistics that show many women killers like to use a knife and get up close to see the look in their victim's eyes and face. They love plunging the knife over and over. I think that's why they are few in number than men. A gun just doesn't give them the pleasure and release they desire.

Glad the officer did his duty and didn't puss out.

I think that's inaccurate reporting. The shooting was just a few miles from my work and the 14 year old is the son of someone I know. He was shot by the student shooter, not by the resource officer. The shooter did not commit suicide. The resource officer took him out and he died at what used to be named Civista Hospital in La Plata, MD. The 14 year old was very lucky. Our county schools were put on lockdown and the school was shut down after the situation was stabilized so students could be transported to another high school in the area to be picked up by parents/guardians. The student shooter shot the girl and the 14 year old boy, but the 14 year old was not involved in an altercation so it may have been poor aim, stress, or some other cause.

Thankfully, that resource officer is also a SWAT team member of the county sheriff's office's. His action surely saved lives, but it's believed the girl was his primary target. What is uncertain is if he planned a bigger attack once she was struck.

Doesn't matter. A pump shotgun or a revolver in each hand does the job.
