When Russia invaded Crimea, Republicans came out screaming about how the sanctions to Russia were no more than "a slap on the wrist". Apparently Russia didn't think so. They sent an emissary to meet with Trump Jr. and other Trump campaign operatives, to negotiate a mutually beneficial "quid pro quo"

So Russia would make public "dirt on Hillary", to help Trump get elected. And in exchange, once elected, the Trump team would work to remove those sanctions.

Russia did their part. And Trump is working on his. Leaving for the G-7 summit he again called for removing another sanction: their removal from G-8. Removal of Russia from this group was one of the many sanctions the Obama administration imposed on Russia for the invasion of Crimea.

We must wonder why Trump is so eager to keep his part of the bargain. He has screwed so many that have signed a deal with him, that it's remarkable that he won't just do the same with Putin. Could be that Putin has some "extra leverage"?

Trump is doing his part for Xi, too.

Trump has had plenty of praise for Xi Jinping of China. "He's a very talented man. I think he's a very good man. He loves China, I can tell you. He loves China. He wants to do what's right for China."

Trump is very concerned about jobs in China and he does not feel the telecom giant, ZTE, is a threat to our national security despite the fact that our intell agencies have told us that ZTE spies on Americans with their cellphones. "President Xi of China, and I, are working together to give massive Chinese phone company, ZTE, a way to get back into business, fast. Too many jobs in China lost. Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!"

Chinese government hackers have compromised the computers of a Navy contractor, stealing massive amounts of highly sensitive data related to undersea warfare — including secret plans to develop a supersonic anti-ship missile for use on U.S. submarines by 2020, according to American officials.

Because of trading practices, Canada is regarded as a national security threat to our country by Trump.

Trump set the June 12 date for the summit in Singapore with Kim Jong Un because that was the weekend of the G-7 summit where Trump is persona non grata for the tariffs he leveled at our friends and allies. They, too, are regarded by Trump as threats to our national security. Because he is incapable of defending his tariff policy to our friends and trading partners, Trump arrived late and left early like sniveling coward afraid to face others. He took time for some nice photo ops and left.

"President Xi and I will always be friends, no matter what happens with our dispute on trade. China will take down its Trade Barriers because it is the right thing to do."

Trump says his "level of relationship" with U.S. allies is "a ten."

Presidents Xi and Putin are enormously pleased with these developments.

If this were not so tragic, this would be enormously funny. Our President thinks he is a comedian. Actually, he is partially right. Trump is a joke.

You're calling the Trump campaign collusion to attack our electoral system "collaboration with the world"?

Really? I hadn't heard that one before.

He thinks that others are like him: that all they need is a bit of praise, and they're in his hands. What a moron! He doesn't get it that he's the one being played.

I try to imagine Trump arriving at conclusions like that. Lying in bed unable to sleep, his thoughts probably start drifting into something like "wouldn't it be great if...xxx?". Then he spends all night with the thought going around and around in his mind, until he convinces himself that it's a fact. Sleeplessness does cause weird effects. So next day he just says it. I bet if they put him under a lie detector when he said those things, he would come out fine.

Really? So, what were you referring to when you said "collaborate with the world" then? What that had to do with this thread, I mean.

Apart from that, does anybody remember when we didn't just "collaborate with the world" but actually led it? Ah... a year and a half ago seems like such ancient history....

Sycophant's are just tools that genuinely believe they're acting independently. What's the going rate for posts like this? 15c? 25c?
