Free speech only applies to government. If someone walked into a church and started screaming about worshiping Satan, they'd have a right to throw his crazy ass out the door.

This! Free speech is so misunderstood. I blame our education system.

Sure. However, their may be laws or other regulations that prohibit such activity.

The left break their rules all the time but you don't see them getting banned. So, that's not excuse just It's hypocrisy. Their banning Alex Jones was a test, now their going to start targeting other conservative voices or whom goes against their agenda. It's 1984 on the internet.

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”

    ― George Orwell, 1984

Well, thank you for your opinion. You're wrong, but you certainly have every right to be so.

What I think people on the left are missing is that social media is a fairly recent phenomena. Facebook has almost 2 billion users. I don't know how many people use Twitter. Along with Google, they have become a major vehicle in which people communicate and gather information. That fact places their influence and impact on society in a interesting position.

What if some conservative group managed to purchase Facebook, or Twitter? Having done so, they then ban everyone who espouses any liberal viewpoints or agendas.

Would you have a problem with that?

And I hope the Sandy Hook parents who are suing him are successful, and take him for every cent he has.

Here in the hermit kingdom of California the majority of those who are unlucky to be living in California get their electrical power from either Southern California Edison or Pacific Gas and Electric, both are monopolies and are privately investor owned companies.
(There are a few exception where some cities have their own electrical power generating plants like L.A.)

SCE can't shut off your electricity because they don't like your politics or that you believe that the Earth is flat.

All phone companies are private companies or corporations and AT&T can't cut off In-N-Out phone service because they made a $25,000 donation to the California Republican Party. One of the biggest lunatics and climate change bigots is Jerry Brown. The phone company can't cut off a loon's phone service.

Cellular phone service companies are all private that uses the air waves. All radio frequencies are public.

Electricity, gas, water, sewage, phone service and cell phones service are public utilities that are regulated by a government entity.

Twitter is a form of communication that uses the public airwaves, why aren't they a public utility and regulated and forbidden from discrimination or censorship ?

Already municipal governments decides who can provide internet service in a city. It's coming, the internet will become a public utility regulated by a government agency or commission.

Since when someone usually uses a mobile device when tweeting and the public airwaves are being used to tweet, this falls under the FCC.

The FCC should fine Twitter $100 billion dollars and pay a billion dollars for every day to Alex Jones for every day he's cut off from tweeting.

I get your point but the difference is if you wanted to start your own electric or phone company back in the day, you would have to run your own power and phone lines. Today, if you wanted to start your own website, you could pretty easily, without laying those lines.

Dude, equating Twitter to electricity is silly. Second, a good reason to move out of California. Quit subsidizing the People's Republic, dammit!

Except this is a private company not the government

Do you believe that paedophile should be able to flood the internet with pictures of children being raped?

    But the airwaves are public.

There are some frequencies that can only be used by the military or other government agencies but since the airwaves are public no law against getting a scanner and listening.

There's still talk radio, there's still TV.
Why can't RW create their own internet twitter?

They're not public, they are private businesses.
Why do some just make up BS?

A cable company can certainly do that. But if it's generating them money, they won't.
I doubt Jones was generating twitter any money. Likely costing them money since the dude obviously was violating rules and anyone will get banned violating rules.

Sure would have been nice if the First Amendment said that the California state legislature shall make no laws.

I don't think you're the least bit interested. Are you? I'm not into just wasting time. Even though I do post on these forums, which is wasting time. But entertaining.
And it's pretty self explanatory. RWers want to use the force of gov't to make twitter and other internet companies let whom they want to post, even though they break the private companies rules. You know, ramrod it down their throats.

You don’t even have the integrity to respond to entire posts, no one owes you an explanation for something that is pretty much spelled out.
