    For breakfast at 5PM -- I just woke up from sleeping after my last night's graveyard shift.

    - 2 deviled eggs

    - 1 small bowl of boiled oatmeal.

    I made the deviled eggs thus:

    - Hard boil 2 eggs for 10 minutes.

    - Rinse with cold water and shell both.

    - Slice up in a bowl.

    - Add 1 heaping tablespoon of mayo and 1 of sweet relish.

    - Mix by stirring.

    I made the boiled oatmeal thus:

    - Bring to a boil 1 cup water, 1 patty of butter, 2 dashes of salt, and 1 ounce pure maple syrup all together in a pot.

    - Add 1/2 cup old fashioned oatmeal when briskly boiling.

    - Reduce heat to medium.

    - Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until smooth and creamy.

    This is a nice lite filling breakfast for the new day / or night as the case may be.

    My 12 hour shift starts at 8PM and runs thru 0800AM in the morning.

    Today is my Thursday.

    Tomorrow is my Friday.

    Then on the real Friday morning (everyone else's Friday) I will drop off my SUV on the way home and get the oil and filter changed and the transfer case oil checked. I looked under it yesterday to make sure all the bolts were good, and saw that the transfer case seemed to be leaking.

    Hot air rises over tropical Africa.

    Rotation of the Earth causes a vortex in the clouds.

    Rotation of the Earth moves the Ocean under the hot air and clouds.

    Moister from the Ocean feeds the storm.

    Soon you have a monster.

    Same thing happens over tropical South America and Indonesia.

    The Earth is a hurricane factory.

    Everybody in the Carolina's better get tha' hell out.

    The worst thing we get in the Rocky Mtns is avalances during the ski season.

    But no worries if you just stay out of the canyons.

    The skiers have to worry though.

    I take each person on their own merits.... some clash worse than oil and water. Others, well, I try to be civil, but once they've broken the surface, the snark can be hard to contain.

    So, just visiting for the social aspect? I, for one, admit I come to see the latest doings here at the bar, and only occasionally venture out into the political threads. There are some loonies from both sides running around out there! :omfg:

    Sometimes a message board can and does bring out the worst

    - reheated leftover chicken SOS over wheat bread toast

    Yep, and if anything, my existence is momentary. I’m not the same scribing Chatty Cathy i once was. I rode Smarty’s virtual coattails for 20+ years now and it should say something pretty substantial about her that we are great friends who still have never met IRL. Truth. Or we are both just really lazy. Lol
