You seem to disagree. That's fine, you are welcome to your opinion, internet person who believes in conspiracy theories such as fascists taking over the U.S. government. My opinion is "More government and control over the individual = more Left, less government and control over the individual = more Right." But more accurately, as I have posted to this forum 100 times or more over the years in combatting various LW fallacies, fantasies and semantic chicanery: The terms "conservative, liberal, Left and Right" are useful -shorthand- for delineating specific political platforms in the -now-. Over just a bit of time, their abstract, ill-defined nature makes them hopelessly vague other than as convenient tools of lying propagandists. No legitimate political philosophy through the ages, other than when discussing specific political parties at specific times, uses these terms (not social unscience, sociology, etc., but political philosophy), in favor of more precise and useful terminology. As we have unwisely done with so many terms, isms, and jargon, we have allowed the Left and the gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex to craft a witches' brew of semantic imprecision weaponized against political opposition as labels, while howling like scalded cats whenever they are labeled even mildly. SEE THREAD. Time to do otherwise. We should remove those terms from our political discourse entirely. For an excellent discussion of the above, please see Herbert Spencer, Man Versus the State, the New Toryism: https://www.libertarianism.org/publications/essays/new-toryism
In this thread that concerns nazis, I've provided a partial list of the nazi and other white supremacist organizations that have endorsed, support, and hail Trump as their "Glorious Leader" and "God Emperor!" Even if you could provide a comparable list of your alleged communists endorsing, supporting and hailing Democratic candidates in similarly reverential terms, it appears you are merely attempting to divert from the topic regarding nazis, and from my documented instances of their enthusiastic support for Trump. Hitler's Nazism was based on a specific racist doctrine that asserted the superiority of the Aryan race. The neo-nazis that presently support Trump espouse that racist doctrine as well.
The New Black Panther bigots supported Obama... both sides have their extremists. How many extremists would you say are on each side? I'll take a percentage of the voting population. (Wait...here comes your deflection and refusal to answer!)
Do you believe that Nazis pose any threat to American society? Do you believe that the totalitarian left pose any threat to American society?
I know of no nazi, kkk, or other white supremacist organization that currently support the Democratic Party. I have provided a partial, documented list of several that enthusiastically support Trump.
I merely document the enthusiastic support by neo-nazis and other white supremacists for Trump, and hope their veneration does not imply a threat to the nation. I suspect that what elicits that support is what makes Trump, consistently, so unpopular with most Americans.
I know, Stalin was wonderful. Khrushchev a great leader. I get it. I am in no way saying Hitler was some kind man only interested in the good things about the Jews. Why do you suppose that the Soviets finally freed many Jews and they came here to America for freedom? Arkady Factorovich is a man i know and he told me here he has freedom. And he was a major as an officer in the Soviet Army. As a jew there he was hated.
(emphasis added) Q.E.D. More government and control over the individual = Left; less government and control over the individual = Right. Simple, elegant, accurate. If people insist on using these terms other than as useful shorthand to describe immediate political reality, they should at least mean something definitive. But again, why not resist the impulse to label with arcane abstractions entirely and discuss the merit of specific policies instead?
And that's not the question, which is - which party, Democrat or Republican, most closely matches the Nazi party political platform? The Nazi's listed in writing their political platform. Comparing it to the political platform of the Democrats and that of the Republicans, which is a better match? Obviously the Nazi party platform most closely matches the Democrats. The only area which matches the Republicans is nationalism, which is obvious since Democrats are globalist. Almost everything else in the Nazi platform matches the Democrats - social justice, govt run health care and education and retirement, employer profit sharing for corporations, living wage, removal of religion from the public square, censorship of media.
If you notice, I stick to parties. Why is that? They are what the media discusses. They appear on ballots. They appear in the two houses. They even appear when discussing presidents. Do you see Democrats calling out FDR for being left wing and socialist? Gee, and why not?
I know ---plus Hitler granted paid vacations to Germans. He made better the German brand of socialist health care in the view of Democrats.
Antifa strongly supports Democrats. But your question lacks merit. The true question is only that were it true, it would be we republicans supporting those groups and not the reverse. We do not support those groups. We do not try to get them elected.
Exactly, they use the labels, isms and other babblejargon in lieu of policy arguments when they have no facts or principles underpinning, which is almost always the case, never in any self-reflective way. Then the discussion bogs down into a windy semantic nullity of definitional debate like this thread. That's by design. They aren't "about" anything other than an ad campaign. "Fascist! Nazi!" is just another way of saying "Tastes great! Less Filling! New and Improved!" Another thing I've posted many times here is that the current Left is not a political movement of policy initiatives, but just a bunch of placard-waving malcontents. Asking them policy questions is like asking a sign spinner in front of a cell phone sales office about the features of the phones for sale inside. Nothing heard in response will be meaningful, often not even intelligible., while they just continue to spin the sign.
Yes I am well aware of that truth. They either are stupid or equally well aware of it. I call out those saying liberal when trying to discuss the extremely authoritarian party known as the Democrats. They are no more liberal than my toast is. Why call Democrats authoritarian? While they moan about court rulings, the real cake baking is done by Democrats of the two houses of Congress. That is where most of the damage is done to this country.
You keep saying "Bye." I'll say a cheerful "Hello!" instead because provided you don't go -POOF- and disappear in a couple of days after the election as certain posters tend to do here, you and I will be getting -very- well acquainted on this forum. I look forward to it.
Definitely Soviet Union had many problems including anti-Semitism. That is why we left in 1983. But it was not even close to Nazi regime.
I did not say it was. I said read the Black Book on Communism. And you said you did. A very expensive book it is. Glad you read it. By the way, how long did you live among the Nazis of WW2 infamy?
