Are you happy or not, do you wish to stay in Syria or not? Simple questions and awaiting your spin.

Hmm now so every bomber is trumps fault, shall we do the same under Obama, do you want to tally up the totals?

As an aside, stopping to eat at a restaurant during the middle of a patrol is really dumb.

    You're right.
America's G.I.s have died by the thousands & will continue to die by the thousands as long as they occupy hostile & distant soil.

Regrettably, influential foreign powers have been "quietly" successful in plunging America into a long running disaster before(1) and are instrumental in keeping Americans for their own defense(2), (3).
It's long past time to bring our G.I.s home from dismal places where they are neither wanted nor appreciated.

Huh? Am I happy? Are you asking me if I'm happy??

Generally... my health is good, the market is bouncing back a bit after the Trump December free fall, and my kid is very close to straight A's as a soph in HS... Pretty happy. You??

I believe the US should be on a path to exiting from Syria (and A-stan), but it was premature and counterproductive to announce ISIS was defeated. I would let my military know we should be leaving and letting them set the conditions and timing for leaving..

If the US had withdrawn immediately, as Trump wanted to do, these Americans would still be alive right now, at home with their friends and family.

Can't say I find trump's "let's turtle" foreign policy while leaving the stage to the other actors to be anything like making america great again.

In fact it makes america look pretty pathetic.

    Why are servicemen in Syria?
    Did we declare war?
    Were we invited?

The Neocon runs deep in American veins.

Couldn’t have killed them if they weren't there to begin with. One of the few things I like about Trump has been his attempts(albeit meager) to get troops out of places they don’t belong. Too bad all the perpetual war loving establishment democrats and republicans fight it at ever turn.

Trump gave the military total autonomy for 2 years. He decided to hide troop movements. this is on him.

Buck should stop at the top so can’t dispute that. Same way getting us involved to start with falls on last president. They won’t get pulled out now so doesn’t matter I guess. Just be one more false flag away from a major conflict.

Worst thing we could do to ISIS is get out of Syria let Assad and Putin deal with them. While maybe his announcement was bs from the get go. If some of the suppposed anti war democrats would have supported the announcement might have been harder for Bolton to walk it back. I would feel little bad to abandon the Kurds once again but it’s just not worth the risk of getting sucked in even further.

good to see republicans change, they used to think we need to be involved in every war, we needed to lead not assist others, just too bad it came so late and Trillions of dollars later, we never should of started this massive war on terror and yes, pulling out is gonna hurt, letting go of the tigers tail is not gonna go well, Obama found this out in Iraq and republicans blamed him for it

we need a war tax when we start wars, the rich would make sure these wars ended fast if it cost them biggly

And others say that we are in Syria for one purpose only: to advance the goal of "Greater Israel". That makes more sense to me, all things considered.
