If she was an adjudicator then she was responsible for granting and denying security clearances. In fact, it was her job. I'm done playing semantics games with you.

Do not assume just Cummings, I just bring him up because he is the top, many are appointed for political reasons, look at who is on the committee, the House is full of people who probably wouldn't qualify for a security clearance in the military, probably some don't even have the IQ to get in. When I got mine I was about 19 years old. I am not arguing against oversight, just don't want political oversight, that is why I provide a solution; they must have security clearances, and if the Executive denies them one, they need the Congress to override, otherwise they are out of a job on the committee.

Something has to be done to reduce the risk of political party hacks weaponizing oversight for political gain in the polls, especially in light of the FBI "insurance policy." Nobody can ever explain that "insurance policy" to my satisfaction.

I think we are mostly in agreement. I didn't posit a solution I'm only arguing that there's a problem. Of course, my opinion hinges on the truthfulness of the whistle blower. No doubt there's a team working around the clock as we speak to discredit her - so stay tuned...

It is best not to blow away a proposal without trying to fix it.

Even the Green New deal may have some tiny merits, I know the improved electrical grid of Bush's very first attempt at an energy policy would be nice to have now. Instead they didn't even want a tiny piece.

Oversight is important, but when the plane landed in New Zealand the oversight took off, I never saw them again, oversight was vacation not oversight; Cotter Pin was President then.

Even if her truthfulness or motive was in question, there still could be a problem; I would probably question motive before truthfulness in this environment.

They are incredibly vague. There are lunatics on the left who think watching FOX news or eating two scoops of ice cream is "concerning personal conduct" So tell me, how exactly would you nail down "financial problems"? That could be anything from a bounced check to a gajillion dollars of IRS debt. What about "drug use"? Is that pot? prescription drugs? opioids? meth? What about "foreign influence"? Is that talks to foreigners or does business with foreigners or owns foreign property or merely travels a lot or......? Face it, those things are vague, period.

I don't see them as 'vague' in the context of security clearance. And when it comes from a WH security agent, it adds even more impact.

It honestly doesn't bother you at all that unelected career bureaucrats who are part of the ruling elites try to thwart an elected president at every turn?

Or Trump wanted his family in the administration because he knew and trusted them. Just as FDR and John Adams employed their sons and JFK had his brother as the attorney general? (despite his obvious security risk status over his affairs?)

Why are you so concerned over Trump's security clearances but don't seem to mind Hilary and her emails?

Well it's hard to use one IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE.

I didn't think I'd have to point out something so obvious.

    I shouldn't be surprised.

Nothing. But it bears directly on the reliability and gullibility of the left wing poster who is attempting to push it.

Says the guy who believes Kavanaugh is a serial rapist and Russian collusion really happened. ROFL. Oh, the irony. Chump.

Would be interesting to find out just how many overrides all admins have done wouldn’t it? Or are you only concerned when Trump does it? Seems you have a get Trump complex. I have a let’s see all the numbers before deciding complex.

25 separate overrides seems a wee bit high, and 3rd time, this whistle blower must be anti Trump, huh :)
