Why is the Heartbeat Bill that's being approved all over the USA contraversial?

Lol...Yeah, men have nothing to do with it, eh?

 

So what are the women going to do as it will be in effect? Just pout? Not have sex? Complain? Leave the country? What are you guys going to do?

 

How about we enact legislation where every male is mandated to deposit sperm in a sperm bank and then sterilised? When a woman wants a child she must find a man who is not suitable but has the means to support a child - they then apply to the sperm bank for a “withdrawal” and ...........

No more unwanted pregnancies, no more abortion

 

If they wanted to do something about it then they would be putting money into the horrific infant mortality rate in the USA - it is nearly TWICE that of Australia



Put those stats up and all of a sudden the RW find every excuse in the book as to why this horrific toll should not be addressed

 

There are exceptions to this rule! Tetrology of fallot, transposition of the great vessels. Etc. point being, those baby’s would have a functioning brain, and a heart, it just needs some help because of a congenital issue.

That’s much different than needing circulatory help for being under developed.

 

I’m in agreement with this. This, or a life threatening condition to the mother, are perfectly acceptable reasons for a late term abortion.

 

Georgia just passed it. And Alabama is next. It's going to be common practice in this country.

Now there's reportedly a sex strike by holly wood women. I can't keep up. They want abortion so bad.

 

And in some ways that is good as it will prove that such laws are useless

 

Which ones? Noone is going to strike.

 

A heartbeat isn't really an indicator if viability. A fetus can have a heartbeat, but also have a major defect that prevents it from being born alive.

The extremist pro lifers who want abortions illegal under all circumstances, including rape, incest, and there have been a few nutjobs who even want it illegal if it's needed to save the mother's life. I was reading some far right blog that was claiming that the life if a non-viable fetus, which won't survive after birth, was more important than the life of it's mother, and that if the mother has to die so that the baby can be born and then die seconds later, then it was fine by them. They claimed that it was immoral to terminate any pregnancy regardless of the circumstances.
