I think you are not familiar with the WWII history, as by 1940 the Brit's were nearly powerless to repel a German invasion. Nearly half of their military hardware was lost at Dunkirk and the RAF was a mere skeleton of it's former self. If Hitler merely not postpone Operation Sealion, the war would have been a totally different outcome. Hitlers ambition to invade the Soviet Union is what saved the UK as they would of had no capacity to defend against a land invasion.
