    https://www.axios.com/don-mcgahn-ho...ent-dba4db98-6d91-4861-a6bc-2f7c66ba5ee5.html

In rejecting the Trump administration's claim that senior officials are protected by an "absolute immunity," the judge wrote in this opinion, "it is a core tenet of this Nation’s founding that the powers of a monarch must be split between the branches of the government to prevent tyranny."

I dare anyone to argue that this judge misunderstands that core tenet of the founding of our country, or to argue that Presidents should be able to commit wrongs and prevent any senior administrative official from even discussing that wrong before Congress.

Two practical imports flow from this ruling: 1) McGahn's testimony may become part of the Impeachment Inquiry and the subsequent articles, and 2) Other witnesses, like John Bolton, might use this ruling as a justification to provide testimony to the Impeachment Inquiry.

I know everyone is surprised its another Obama judge ignoring the law.

This will get appealed and once real judges see this it will be overruled.

I had to go to 3 MSM sources to finally get the judges name. Of course, she is a hardcore Obama Appointee. This will go to the Supreme Court where they will not allow Congress to abuse the Office of the Presidency.

You were the only one to derail the thread with this. How about you at least try and stay on topic for the 1st ten posts? That would be swell.

It's called partisan judiciary, which is not "Deep State", but thanks for continuing to derail the thread. Pathetic.

He didn't even fight it and we all know this is going to the SC. The ruling did say he could testify and claim Executive Privilege which is exactly what the dems want to spin this. That's literally all they do these days. No quid pro quo means Trump ordered the quid pro quo.

    What law?

Do you mean Congress's authority and responsibility to provide oversight of the executive branch?

Can you cite the federal law that defines their immunity?

Cite the law that takes away the power of oversight by Congress.

Please, cite the law that states the Executive branch has no rights and no separation from the other branches.

Go ahead. Love to see it.

    The power of impeachment. Duh!

And don't throw around bs arguments. This isn't about having no rights. This is about your desire to make a crook immune from prosecution.

Trump isn't a dictator no matter how much you wish it to be so.

None of those people are accused of withholding congress approved funds in order to have a foreign govt announce an investigation into their political opponent.

    Are you even paying attention?

Better yet, you cite the law that states the Executive branch has no rights and no separation from the other branches since you are the one who wants them to testify to another branch with no evidence of a crime.

No they are accused of trying to rig the 2016 election, bribery, fraud and treason.

But for Democrats only their enemies should be investigated.
