Ridiculous response. You're suggesting that Fred has the highest ever car sales because his one-day sales are higher than last year's average sales. His one-day sales, in any way, cannot be compared to last year's average except to say his one-day sales are higher than last year's average.

You can't compare those two numbers and say his one-day sales today were higher than last month's average; last month's average is not in evidence.

You can't compare those two numbers and say his one-day sales today were higher than his own one-day sales yesterday; yesterday's sales are not in evidence.

This should be an easy argument for the OP to support, if it is supportable: get the one-day deaths for other top killers on those days he's claiming that coronavirus is the biggest killer and show us... Otherwise, his claim is unsubstantiated due to lack of evidence.

This is such a simple concept. Right now. Today. These past two weeks, likely the next several weeks, this disease is the leading cause of death. Nobody said it was the leading cause of death last year. Nobody said it's the leading cause of death this year.

This disease is fascinating. From 0 to 38,000 deaths in 45 days or so. Crazy.

Look at it as an incredibly interesting statistic. Or don't. But the FACT is that the # 1 reason people are dying each day right now is COVID-19.

Get figures for coronavirus for the past 2 weeks and for other top killers for the same dates.. you can do them individually or the two weeks as a whole - as long as you apply the same range to coronavirus and to the other killers.

Perhaps you could explain away the excess number of deaths in New York over the last few weeks? More than double the usual total number of deaths compared to previous years

 

Yet New York still hasn't closed its subways and was telling people to go to china town as late as February 24th and continued nonsense through march. De blasio said it died on hard surfaces in minutes. He shouldnt be giving medical advise. You just hate trump with unsubstantiated claims. If the democrats had their way america would have been worse off. They didnt want to close the borders plain and simple.

 

I guess you missed that on January 31, Trump stopped flights between us and China and the left was up in arms. de Blasio and Andrew Cuomo both still telling people to go out, go on with their lives, the virus was nothing compared to the flu, go to the park.........and now where is the world's #1 hotspot?

Trump is just about the only one taking it seriously from the start. Did you see his demonstration of all the main stream media telling everyone to go on about their business; the virus was nothing to be concerned about?

 

And all he did in February was downplay how serious it was, blow sunshine up your ass and play golf.

That was a very interesting visualization. I was very impressed and almost bought into it.

The problem is, there are no sources for other than the coronavirus and, even for that, I don't see how they have several values shown for each date. If you drag the pointer, all the values change multiple times before the date changes. I don't see how that was determined but let's just say we go with the final number for each day.

The only source listed other than the coronavirus source is death rates from 2017, published in June of 2019.

Seriously, I thought you had it this time; I was framing my accolades in my mind until I found the fallacy.

The visualization is top notch - if only it had legitimate data behind it... That's not uncommon. A lot of time visualization guys aren't good at data and data guys aren't good at visualizations. That's why data analytics is a team sport.

And then, in the end, I saw the caption at the top:

You can't compare real coronavirus numbers against any average, let alone years old averages. They're interesting comparisons for discussion but they prove nothing and don't make coronavirus the deadliest killer.

The guy nails it. The problem isn't Trump and it isn't the United States; it's Cuomo and de Blasio.

 

That's when Trump should have fired him. Fauci is a deep-state hack who has no business running anything. But had Trump fired him, the MSM would have been all over Trump. Trump's just tried to share reasonable information to go along with, or to counter, Fauci's idiocy.

Andrew Cuomo - even as late as March 9, was suggesting just wait for the next train if the subway car is too full...

Bill de Blasio -on March 2, telling people to go about their business, offering his favorite close-contact, movie theater, coronavirus-spreading, options.

So why are they dying over the last few weeks? Well, 14 day incubation and a 30 day treatment up to death.
