Consider Ukraine a distant US state. :)

Pooteen and his accomplices have emphasized several times that the war against Ukraine is a war against the USA and "Nazis".

I'd wish the Nazis came back from hell and kick lying Pooteen's aZZ. :D

Ukraine is a foreign country and no part of the United States.

Yet another post of yours where you continually say 'nazi!, Nazi!!, NAZI!!!.

Is that your safe word or something?

It's sad the general public believes the bullshit fed to them by their government. Some of us have actually been to these places....many times. If you don't think what I said was true, look up those captures...the links are still live. Better yet, pull up google maps and read the names of the streets....like the one that leads to Babi Yar in Kiev. Now run along and look up Babi Yar.

About 20 feet to the left of these nazis is the busiest McDonalds in ukraine. It's right beside the main metro terminal in Kiev on the main (tourist) drag.

Anyone who brings up the ending the war on drugs recognizes that giving government authority over what you can put in your body is a mistake. That it causes all the problems conservatives complain about.

What government interference do you have in mind to deal with the homeless that you think we cant afford?

You have some nazis all over the world, not least in the USA, and, yes, they are noisier than the rest of the population, maybe because they know they are a small minority.

As for the support we give Ukraine, we merely give them weapons, many of them out of our stocks that need to be renewed anyay.

And we should be grateful to the brave ukrainian soldiers who are giving their life, not only for their country, but also for protecting the freedom of the rest of Europe. And, last but not least, they are gradually weakening the russian army and the russian economy, to the point that many people argue that the US is waging a proxy war to Russia with ukrainian blood.

And, icing on the cake, Europe has discontinued most of their purchases of russian oil and gas, replacing them, at least partly by imports from the US.

Letting Russia have their way in Ukraine would mean that any country that has nuclear capacity could henceforth blackmail any other country in giving away anything they want/need, be it territory and/or any other asset.

To understand why Russia must be absolutely defeated in Ukraine, you need to get out of the MAGA echo chamber.

What's happening there is the biggest geostrategic threat since WW2.

Serious enough for Sweden and Finland to want to join NATO at high speed.

Leaving aside hatred of Jews, there is little difference between Putin and Hitler.

Both are dictators who invade their neighbors to increase their nation's power.

And while some Republicans wonder why we should still help Ukraine, China is patiently waiting for the West to do nothing to invade Taiwan, knowing that it will have free rein.

We can't even pay for the basics of funding the government without debt and inflation. We can't even afford the interest on the debt so we monetize some of it every year thereby devaluing the dollar. Federal government has been broke for decades and is slowly working its way toward bankruptcy. The longer government operates this way, the faster the end will arrive.

Seems there is always some war or conflict going on in Asia, Africa, South America or Europe. No war on North American soil since the 1800's when we settled our differences and learned a bloody lesson. Now that we are living in peace we need to let other countries settle their differences without North America getting involved. Yes we were attacked at the World Trade Center and at Pearl Harbor -- but we evened the score in good order. There will always be a war or conflict some where and we seem to be in a perpetual war.

The difference is then it was part of Russia and now it is not. They are seeking to take it by force. And if we let them Ukraine will not be the last. And it will embolden the Chinese to make a play for Taiwan, which makes 70% of the world’s semiconductors. How great would it be I’d the price of all computer based products went up 300%?
    Ok Mr. Chamberlain.
The better question is didn’t we learn anything from WW2? Appeasement doesn’t work. Isolation doesn’t work.

Those were very different wars. The main difference is that the locals in those wars wanted the other side to win. The Ukrainians clearly don’t want to be part of Russia.
Does that mean war is never justified? (How do I say that in German?)

You think inflation is bad now, wait till we start mining this.

Those things have what to do with government? There is not a thing wrong with our private sector. It succeeds despite every roadblock put up by government. Government won't stop overspending until voters do something about it. Voters, sadly, are dumb enough to see personal value in government overspending.

I guess just the NASA part? The tax revenue, the part that puts a whole another factor into the inflation equation...That giant inflation ball of gold headed our way.

I would like to point out that this was overwhelmingly funded by a vote of the House and the Senate with a Majority of both parties supporting it: House vote 368-57, Senate vote 86-11.
Seems like this is not just an issue pushed by just Democrats.

Well as a person with an interest in history really every bit of distance between Russia, and Germany is good for everybody. This war is also particularly worrying because Ukraine really provides no strategic, and only modest economic value to Russia.

To risk so much on it seems downright conquest hungry as such I think making the war as painful as possible for Russia is the right call, but you can't throw the baby out with the bathwater either.

I think we've about reached our limit. I would have begun quietly scaling back support a few weeks ago if it had been my call.

Well, no wonder the US has been unable to win a war for a long time. We always stop half way. Are we going to make the same mistake again?

In this war in Ukraine, we're not even supplying troops; we merely supply equipment from our stocks that need to be renewed anyway. The ukrainian army has been weakening the russian army for months; let them complete the job.

And with the experience they are getting, with their resilience and creativity, they're on the right path to become a very strong NATO member as soon as the Russians are pushed out of the country.

There was a vote in the Senate at the end of July to cease further aid to the Ukraine and it was overwhelming defeated on a bipartisan vote.

I would be more than willing to allow the American people to vote on this issue if you would accept a similar vote on lifting abortion limitations.

    Corrupt Ukraine.

'VIENNA/KYIV, Sept 19 (Reuters) - In his years as the chief executive of one of Ukraine's biggest construction firms, Oleh Maiboroda kept rolls of dollar bills in a safe behind his desk.'

'The money, Maiboroda told Reuters, was intended to bribe public officials to approve building projects. The task of handing over the cash, he said, was entrusted to a lawyer named Oleh Tatarov, now a senior adviser to Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskiy.'

    https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/graft-accusations-dog-top-zelenskiy-aides-2023-09-19/

The entire government is corrupt, and they handsomely bribed the Biden Crime Family, and now we are underwriting their war with Russia.

The Ukrainians are not weakening the Russians. That seems delusional thinking.

US and G-7 Allies Now Expect War in Ukraine to Drag On for Years

(Bloomberg) -- called on world leaders to stand by Ukraine in its struggle to eject Russian troops, even as Kyiv’s allies said they now expect the war to last for years to come.

A senior official from one European Group of Seven country said the war may last as long as six or seven more years and that allies need to plan financially to continue support for Kyiv for such a long conflict.
