I think he is in slow cognitive decline. However most of how he operates doesn't require a lot of cognitive ability, anyhow.

I think this will continue until he has some sort of physical ailment, and then his cognitive abilities will decline rapidly.

He had blotch marks on his palm the other day, which suggest an accident.

Joe tries to shake hands with people who are not there. He has to be led around. If you are worried about cognitive decline, Joe is not the man for you.

    Is Trump in cognitive decline?

Probably. But so isn't Biden. It would be nice if we could get someone younger to vote into the WH. Just sayin.

From some of Trump’s rants and raves, I’d say so. But most of the public hasn’t taken notice yet. They’re more fixated on Biden’s age and his mental acumen. Question 24. Trump Age Affecting Presidential Duties - How much of an effect do you think Donald Trump’s health and age would have on his ability to fulfill his duties as President, if he were elected in 2024? 23% of all Americans think Trump age would severely limit his ability to do the job. With Biden, question 21. Biden Age Affecting Presidential Duties - How much of an effect do you think Joe Biden’s health and age would have on his ability to fulfill his duties as President, if he were re-elected in 2024? 55% think Biden’s age would severely limit his ability to do the job.

I think the reason behind this although only 4 years separate them is Trump looks robust and energetic whereas Biden looks much older, frail and a lot less energetic. Even so, myself, I would trust and put faith in Biden’s mental state, his ability to think things through much more than I’d ever trust Trump. But the above is probably one big reason why both Trump and Biden are in a basic tie in the polls taking the MOE into consideration.

I have no idea he never made much sense to me to begin with nor has he ever been good with names. He just rambles in superlatives.

Most older folks do slow down but, Ole' Joey has better judgment, is God fearing and as close to a real Christian than the Golden calf. He does not suffer from malignant narcissistic disorder and governs for more Americans than the Carnival Barker. Joey is trusted on the global stage and supports freedom, rights and democracy. Agent Orange and his following, not so much.

Those who want to get Trump no matter what are the ones in cognitive decline.

And yet Trump is the one that took a cognitive test.

Someone saw something and decided they needed to have Trump take a diagnostic test to determine his cognitive ability. There is no reporting that Biden had to take a cognitive test.

Biden can't make a speech without a script. Trump can talk for hours without a script and make sense. I might not always like what he says, but I understand it.

I"m close to that age, I have friends in that age, and my mother, (RIP) who passed away when she was 93, was not as bad as Trump, let alone have 92 felony counts and four indictments. Another poster or two on this forum are of that age and they aren't anywhere near as bad as Trump.

Trump's adderall snorting habit has destroyed his brain cells.

Most politicians give speeches' with a script as did I during my college debate class.

Trump can talk for hours, but in each minute in those four hours he sounds like a moron and a malignant liar.

I have no trouble understanding Biden.

and, like @Hey Now said in #12

You got to look at the bigger picture.

Are you in cognitive decline? Are the others you mentioned on par with how they were in their 40s or 50s? Everyone that gets older suffers from cognitive decline. As for who is worse off Biden, Trump or those others you speak of I cannot say. I leave that to the medical professional that have examined the people. I am not going to judge someone cognitive issues based on some news clips. I said the same thing in defense of Biden and I say the same thing in defense of Trump. IMO the bottom line is we need age limits on politicians. All politicians. Then people don't have to play couch doctors at home.

The confusion is one thing, but he is getting less coherent too. Very repetitive as well.
Contributing factors could include the aging process, as well as all the self created stress due to his legal issues . The stress of the campaigning too as he is obsessively competitive. The stress pf ongoing anger issues don't help cognition. He wants to control everything, but in that effort he get's himself out of control.

Oh, I dunno, confusing Hillary with Obama, repeatedly, confusing Pelosi with Nikki, repeatedly, (he didn't catch himself, he continued to confuse them) and a number of other cognitive decline issues, not just as a guffaw, but doing it repeatedly, that's serious decline. Biden has his guffaws and stutters, but they are nothing like that.

It sure did not take long to bring up Biden in that constant comparison that seems to be the current game the Trumpians play.

"...but Biden"............. has become the expected response. to every topic on Trump.

And he snorts adderall a lot according to Tom Arnold, who was one of the celebrity Apprentices, and if anyone should know, it would be someone like him who was on the set and witnessed it.

Confusing names of people seems to be one of the most common problem with old people. My grandparents use to rattle off every name of my siblings and cousins before they got the name right. I have no doubt he is in cognitive decline. I just don't know if it is any worse than you would expect for a person his age. If you are willing to vote for people around 80 you better be prepared to accept some cognitive issues. If not, the republicans at least have a choice of someone 52. The democrats do not have the same luxury.
