This is an interesting retrospective by Jeff Greenfield. The Democrats must be getting a sense of deja vu all over again. This morning's reports from the NYPD indicate that more than 47% of the Columbia and City College of New York were not affiliated as students or faculty, i.e. they were outsiders. Several have also been identified as being associated with previous protest movements. Given this new involvement, things will not quiet down in the three and a half months until the Democratic Convention in August.

 

It will be interesting to see how far the Biden administration will proceed in the abandonment of Israel to please the Hamas supporters.

 

I think he can squeeze out more votes if he appeals to the pro Hamas side. The majority of democrats are proud to stand behind that terrorist organization.

If biden does not come out fully backing Israel he will absolutely pit every conservative against him, even the anti trump conservatives.

I don’t think a majority of Democrats support Hamas, but in the Biden administration, the tail is wagging the dog on many issues.

They are doing a delicate dance so I don't think they will go any further than they need to in order to get those Muslim votes back in Michigan.

Long term however, the Dems are going to move more and more to the Hamas side. Demographically there are simply going to be more Muslims in the country and they are going to demand it. Plus that's the side that the young people are on. The days of the US being a pro Israel nation are coming to a close.

With the arrests on college campuses we're learning that almost half of the "protesters" are not attending the school. They're outside agitators.

My guess is we'll find out many of them were arrested but not prosecuted in cities like Portland, Seattle, chicago et al during the BLM riots.

LOL. I don't think you understand what the whole thing is about. Biden admin has bent over backwards to help Israel, and some people are not happy about it, hence the presence of the "agitators".

Less than 2% of MI population is Muslim, so I doubt they are too concerned about their vote, especially when there is zero chance they'd pull for Trump.

 

Yes, the Muslims won't vote for Trump, but they could abstain. In a close election, that could make all the difference. A goodly number voted "no preference" in the Democrat primary leaving Biden with less than the 100% he thought he'd get.

 

The issue isn't them voting for Trump, it's staying home on election day. And when the election is close 2% is a lot.


In Michigan, where every vote counts, Arab Americans are turning away from Biden

 

I've hardly seen any that are pro hamas. I see mostly people that are sickened by the slaughter of innocent civilians, over ten times what Hamas murdered, and is still ongoing today.

 

It is love of country that makes these students not want THEIR country supporting the slaughter of innocents. It doesn't get more patriotic than demanding that your government not destroy its honor by supporting the death of the innocent, in this case Palestinian civilians.

Those who stand by and let it happen are the unpatriotic, apathetic souls.
