Ok folks, the article states that, when it comes to mail in ballots, voter fraud is equal across the board and not limited to one party. Jerry Nadler said mail in ballots are open to voter fraud. The right has said mail in ballots are open to voter fraud. Both sides seem to agree on this somewhat. So what should we do about it? I say we mandate person voting using a photo ID is the best way to get legit votes. Exceptions can be made for military personnel, people who are incapacitated and maybe a few more. What are your thoughts?
I have always supported in person voting with ID. Voting is one of our most important citizen duties and cannot be ignored. To argue that voting is too inconvenient or too difficult in person with an ID is a specious argument. An ID is required for many daily tasks, none more important than voting. Extend voting to several days and extended hours, but mail in ballots should only be for military, invalids and and a few other very special cases.
Voter ID is essential for in person voting but is very cumbersome and not fool proof with mail-in balloting. There are many ways to tighten up mail-in balloting if only the states are willing to do it. Changing back to absentee voting with strict requirements for who can get an absentee ballot and two levels of state/county verification, like it once was, is the main thing.
