Those hostages were gold dust for hamas. You can bet your last dollar they were well treated. Testimonials have even stated that they were fed more than the militants.

Any deaths of the hostages will surely have been idfs doing .

I tried to read it but it wanted me to remove my ad blocker so I wasn't able to. Israel wants badly to end the war. It ends when Hamas is destroyed.

So you posted to us a link that you yourself didn't read. Ok then.

Some in Israel do want to end the war, yes. Netenyahu doesn't. That has been made very clear.

And I don't know why you believe it ends "when Hamas is destroyed".
Especially when we've seen no indication of what Netenyahu would accept as Hamas having been destroyed.
I think its pretty likely he keeps on blowing up Palestinians even after Hamas is destroyed, claiming it still must be out there hiding somewhere, hiding behind Palestinian children.

Once it does end, there's a very good chance Netenyahu is getting thrown out of office, so he has every motivation to keep it going as long as he can.

Lets see. Animals who purposely use human shields, strap bombs to strollers, shoot rockets from schools, wants Israel wiped off the map, HATES the US and every other country/religion that isn't Islam 1st, hates gay people and women's rights and are NOT even allowed in other Muslim countries who share their morals and culture...compared to a 1st world nation with human rights and the benefits that go along with it, and a tech leaders, educated...who lies more? The animalistic terrorists or the 1st world humans?

Yes, the animals tell the truth? They've got you wrapped around their demonic little fingers or you're just trolling=)

From early into this war, it became clear to me that the real focus of Israel's "military operations" was not to confront Hamas' organized military capabilities but instead to cut Gaza in half, starve the north, before proceeding to do the same in the south, all the while engaging in a campaign of aerial terrorism, murder and mayhem against the Palestinians in Gaza in order (among other even more sinister and genocidal delusions) to reclaim "deterrence" and exact vengeance.

That is a "theory" and, in a Popperian sense, a falsifiable one.

Based on that theory, I rejected early Israeli claims of controlling any significant inhabited parts of Gaza (e.g. north Gaza, then central Gaza) or claims that Hamas was dismantled or destroyed in those areas. Each time Israel made such claims, the facts showed what it was actually doing was exercising greater control to seal those areas from delivery of food and humanitarian aid. From my vantage point, especially if you use something similar to Occam's razor, that theory has been buttressed as opposed to refuted by subsequent facts. The final proof will come if/when a ceasefire takes hold to see if Hamas has been reduced to 3-4 brigades in Rafah as Israel has claimed? Or, alternatively, to see whether Hamas' military capabilities are substantially preserved, minus the rockets and ammunition it has expended in the course of the war? ((If this genocidal policy is allowed (it won't be allowed) to play out, based on my "theory", you will see massive/widespread starvation in Gaza before any "surrender" or "destruction" of Hamas)).

Nice rant. Now try answer the questions
Let's see, where were the hostages held? Who claimed that the tunnels have been blown up?

This is the ceasefire contrived by Egypt. It's irrelevant, because it's not acceptable to Israel and it would allow Hamas to survive and retain power. Israel will never agree to that.
Thus- it's a red herring kind of thing, good for propaganda but not realistic.

Hamas can end the war at any time. Surrender, free the hostages. That is what is required. The question is if they will surrender, or die and take many of their own down with them.
I feel pretty sure that most of the hostages are already dead, and those who are not have been grossly abused or tortured, thus freeing the hostages will become the revelation of far greater crimes than taking hostages in the first place.

Peace is literally one day away, available right now.
It is within the power of both the Hamas government and the civilians of Gaza to end the conflict immediately.
The civilians in Gaza know where the Hamas troops are hiding. They know who they are, regardless of how they are dressed. They know where the hostages are held. They could disclose this to the Israelis, and focus the battle on Hamas forces, saving civilians. That is within their power- a choice that so far, neither Hamas nor the Palestinian civilians will make.

Israel is not going to allow Hamas to reorganize or rebuild itself, they are going to totally wipe it out, and that is totally righteous and necessary.
