Mr. Lauro said he could file a motion as soon as next week arguing that Mr. Trump was immune to the charges, given that the indictment against him covers a period when he served as the nation’s commander in chief.

Mr. Lauro also said he was considering attacking the charges with a so-called selective prosecution motion. That motion, he said, would argue that Mr. Trump’s election interference indictment — brought by a special counsel appointed by the Biden administration — had been filed at least in part as retaliation for the federal investigation of Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son, which began in earnest during the Trump administration.

Here's some free advice. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. He seeks only to deceive you.........and delay his trial of course.

I don't like Trump and will not vote for him in the primaries. If he were the only person on the primary ballot, I'd write in "Bugs Bunny."

Still what is going on here is wrong. If the courts refuse to get involved with voter fraud cases, they have no business getting involved with this. But all the courts, DAs and people on the grand juries are Democrats.

I can tell you the verdict in the case that is to be tired in DC right now, GUILTY, because the jury will be made of Washington, DC Democrat voters. The same is a 80% certainty in New York City. All the people with brains will be taken off the jury. What will be left will be empty headed Democrats, who would vote for Hitler if he ran as a Democrat, because they don't know enough history to know the difference.

Nope. The courts have no choice but to get involved since Trump was indicted by the vote of four grand juries. The court's lack of involvement in the fraud cases was due to a lack of evidence. So much so that Team Kraken was sanctioned for bringing a suit in MI.

Attorneys allied with former President Donald Trump who tried to use a conspiracy-laden lawsuit to overturn Michigan's election results have received federal sanctions from a judge in Michigan and could face a host of other disciplinary measures.

The attorneys must also pay legal fees for the city of Detroit and others that defended against the lawsuit and take 12 hours of training — including six hours focused on election law — in the next six months.

If you don’t know much about TRAITOR tRump’s parents you might not know, he was brought up on charges.

Well, since he's a Disney character, I can understand why.

I really liked the old Warner Brothers cartoons. I have a small collection of them. Mel Blank was a vocal genius.

I totally agree with your first paragraph. However, moving around trial dates and venues, trying to rush investigations and accusations and attacking those involved in investigations or in trials are other ways to influence an election too. I will leave the decision on whether "orange man" is good or bad to a jury that has listened to evidence and arguments and the same will go for "the Biden Crime Family"

Its becoming clear that the trial is being rushed to stop Trump from being on the 2024 ballot.
But then an 8 year witch hunt gathers a certain ............ stench ........... so this should not be a surprise.
Ultimately the case will be decided on appeal, not in a DC courtroom.

By then the elections will be over, and the Democrats will be in charge. Mission accomplished!

This case should be thrown out. There's no way that evidence tampering can be tolerated.

I agree, a ex-President should not be treated special cause they are an ex-President, they should be treated like you or I would be

but we know Trump will get treated with kid gloves, and if it's a maga judge, will bend over backwards for him to stall the trial

Falsifying evidence isn't special treatment. Not in a good way, that is. Trump's being treated "special" alright. They're breaking every law they can to burn him.

Orange already tried to destroy the country with his lies and his insurrection and failed.

Now he gets to pay . It’s really that simple .
Due process and law and order.

I know, archaic values to MAGA types, but us Americans still believe in them.

the motive of the prosecution is irrelevant

it is the motive of the crime committed is what matters

if there was no crime committed then there would be no prosecution

this is why no other president in history has faced criminal charges

So assuming "orange already tried ...." is a correct statement democats will take that as authority to destroy the country, if thats what they think it will take.
    Thought so.

Actually, Democrats are fixing the country by upholding the law and demonstrating that there are consequences for the crimes of the Orange Stain.

It was Trump who tried to destroy the country when he sought to steal the election he lost. Your comment has a decided Orwellian feel to it since you want us to believe up is down.

So your point is that we can't believe what politicians say in their campaigns. Sounds reasonable to me.

Trump did well in appointing corrupt judges. Guess he didn't have quite the same opportunities in New York.
