WTF? Unbelievable, Weiner's constituents want him to stand firm and stick it out.

Like the man said, if you have to ask you ain't never gonna understand the answer.

But if you want the secular humanist reason for not making pictures of your wiener public he's a sitting member of the government who is sexting women other than his wife.

That means he could have been blackmailed.

And, if you get caught flaunting your wiener as Weiner did you could lose your job.

Weiner sent lewd photos of himself; next thing you know teabags woke up and realized they had family values they needed to defend!

I think more and more people have stopped caring about personal scandals with politicians. They vote for somebody because of his politics, not his personal life. Doesn't seem like personal scandals on either side of the aisle are really having much impact anymore.

From the voters POV, there is a difference between Vitter and Weiner. When Vitter's "escapade" came to light, it was past the statute of limitations (about 6 years later, IIRC). He had already come clean and patched things up with his wife and had quit the behavior as far as anyone knew. It was 3 more years by the time he came up for reelection and the sentiment was against democrats esp. in the South. Had his reelection bid come just after the scandal came to light, he probably would have lost.

Weiner, OTOH, just got married last year. I mean, srsly. How long has he been doing this kind of thing?

Everybody knows you can't post twitter to National TV, what ever gave you that idea? But, you can Lie on National TV.

Look bold face lying to the public like Weiner did, may be very acceptable to liberals. Most folks know better than that. Had he just come clean on the first day and didn't try to cover it up this would have faded away by now. But he lied claiming his account was hacked. What else has he lied about regarding his work? We don't know. Liberals are completely devoid of integrity. Lying is perfectly acceptable to them.

I think this Democrat lied too.

He should've stuck to patronizing prostitutes in DC or trolling for sex in airport restrooms - nobody would've thought anything about it and his job wouldn't be in question.

Weiner broke no laws. Let his constituents decide whether or not he deserves to be in office when he's up for re-election.

I imagine you're just as adamant about Vitter resigning?

Vitter never lied on TV to his constituents, America and the World about what he did like Weiner. I'm sure the rest of the world is laughing at the dishonesty of our politicians. Myself I'm changing my mind and think he should stay. The 2012 campaign ads would be priceless. First a clip of Weiner denying he did it saying he was hacked. The a clip of him crying and confessing. Then the tag line.....Democrats, you simply can't believe anything they say. Then they could show a clip of Obama vows to cut deficit in half by end of 4-year term. Hey Barry your going the wrong way! This is all priceless ammo for 2012.

it certainly doesn't mean a time limit for a Moral charge based on a pro-family nutcase like Vitter but you can keep on defending him in your hypocritical way....

Well actually, I haven't defended him at all so I guess the hypocrisy is on the side of those who are trying to vilify Vitter and deflect the conversation against the pervert du jour Weiner.

Has Vitter called for Weiner to resign? Whay aren't y'all screaming at the democrats like pelosi and reid?

Hell, no! He'd be crazy to do that and remind people of his own little scandal now that he has it buried so deep in the minds of the RWers. LOL!

The real question is why are the democrats calling for his resignation. They circled the wagons around Clinton and all the other democrat perverts. Weiner must be a regular (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*), and they're all just glad to have an excuse to get rid of him.

NORMAL? Normal guys don't run around taking pix of their weiner in their office, in the gym or anywhere else where he sits down for a few minutes, then sends it to strange women, not even caring if any are underage!

Guys who act like this aren't normal - they're sexual predators...

I'm getting sick of hearing about weiner and his little weenie.... if I was his wife, I'd get rid of him so fast........

You all keep pushing this "underage" thing. Can you show me anything to suppport that irresponsible claim?

These "strange women" were engaged in exchanging emails and pictures with him - one woman at least sent him a picture of herself in her bra - and I read on here somewhere that he engaged in phone/internet sex with 1 or more of them. Doesn't that make them abnormal and sexual predators, too?

Very possible, although they are not representing the US Government. Let the legal channels pursue them if theres something to it. This behavior by our representatives however, is not acceptable.
